I attend an evangelical church and I've got no shortage of issues with the papacy and it still seems like D&C to me. In person enjoy I interfaith discussions about this stuff and getting others to attend a service or going to one of theirs. I think the catholic church as an institution is corrupt in a lot of ways from the top down but i still like their emphasis on tradition and the approach of faith without works being dead. I really respect the faith of indvidual catholics who attend weekly mass, pray the rosary, and attend confession. Having spent time at a lot of different chruches ive seen plenty of the inverse sort of corruption in church's with less rigid stucture where the corruption is more bottom up. I've seen people from other protestant churches spew some real new age bullshit in front of a congregation that would never fly in a catholic chruch or my own and I've also seen protestant chruches that teach the gospel with such rigor and have such strong communities and realtionship with god and faith as to put anyone else to shame. I like mormons despite having even deeper issues with the LDS as an organization and their cosmology. I know people who are pretty much pagan who are good folk i try to involve in my life. Don't like methodists though. They really have become pozzed as far as i can tell and seem to have the worst of both worlds with both top down and bottom up subversion. There's other sects I haven't interacted enough with to draw real conclusions but generally speaking I take more issue with jews for their rejection of god and muslims for their insistence on a false prophet and corruption of the word of god while claiming to be brothers to us than other sects or even the more casual nature oriented sort of pagans. Pagans a aren't really competing on the same way and I still share a lot of culture with them, reverence for gods creation, and even see some romanticism in the past as stories even if I do not believe them.
