how is it a bad thing if all the jobs are taken?
>>
>>515068099
What are you talking about? Share prices are about to skyrocket because of this. A surplus of workers is good for corporations because it means the workers they do have pretty much lose all bargaining power for increased wages. This means companies will be able to slash wages to increase shareholder value.

Someone says this every week. Why am i supposed to trust you? The 2008 crash didn't matter much in the grand scheme of the stock market. Zoom out.
>>
>>515068383
Its a bad thing that you will be left over with people who don't have a job not because they don't want one, but because there isn't enough work to go around.
This is dipping our toe in the water of the future that automation and AI will force upon us: every year from now on, there will be fewer jobs than there were the previous year as we find excuses to throw more people out the door chasing profit not by making or selling better products, but by cutting workers out of the loop. The remaining workers will be 400% more productive than they were before, using AI tools to do vastly more work than they ever could have done previously, but despite generating vastly more profits for the company they won't be payed a penny more.

>he still thinks this is the 90's

We haven't had real financial markets since 08, the government printed trillions of dollars and that money went into the pockets of the wealthy. Why would the price of anything go down when the dollar is tanking in value? A recession means they will drop rates and spin up the printers causing even more inflation. Why would anyone give up assets for worthless dollars?

We're past the event horizon of the FIAT black hole, not even the poor believe in the dollar anymore. Think about it bro, who out there is screaming ' I NEED TO DUMP MY ASSETS BECAUSE THE DOLLAR IS GOING UP IN VALUE'? There might be a small correction like we got in the spring, but the long term trend is going to be stagflation because the government debt to GDP is more than 100%.
>>
>>515068099
This is a good metric you dummy. It means all job openings are filled. Unemployed will need to become entrepreneurs and build their own businesses. Trump economy is amazing and working full steam.

>there will be no one with enough money to afford anything

This is false, what is happening is that inequality is becoming greater. The government prints money to fund it's operations and the people with first access to that money keep getting richer. These are the asset owners, they just keep buying more assets. The people on the bottom who already own nothing just keep getting pushed into a lower standard of living.

You guys are thinking of a scenario where the asset owners feeding off government money will give up and go "here take all my property poor people, I'll give it to you for pennies because....". That just isn't going to happen. What will happen is a repricing of assets that were bought on credit by people who can't afford them, primarily real estate. Still it's not going to be a crash, it will trade sideways until inflation catches up.
>>
>>515068099
Oh wow. This is totally Trumps fault and not companies and farmers wanting to hire slave labor instead of Americans. Totally Trumps fault. Its funny. I own a business and set my prices. Reasonable but enough for me to live on. 9/10 when someone turns me down because of my high prices and go to a jeet because its cheaper, they come back because they get scammed or receive shitty work. Maybe if we have a depression it'll put these shitty tech companies out of business.

There aren’t enough rich people to rent all the apartments, or drive all the cars, or buy all the food, cosmetics, etc. Rich people aren’t rich because poor people are poor. The poorer people get in general, the poorer the elite get too. There is an equilibrium and it’s above where we’re at now and rich people haven’t realized that they’re rich because they hoard their wealth in equities, and the poor are poor because they’re the ones spending their whole paycheck. What happens when the entirety of the poor stop buying stuff from corporations, go full informal mode, build favelas, and technically drop out of the economy altogether? In Brazil it’s 50% of the economy that is fully informal and no amount of AI is going to get that money back.

If you think Jews won’t blow up the entire world before they let it crash again you’re a window licking retard. Occupy Wall Street was the closest they’ve ever been to being named, and with all the noticing now, they absolutely will be named. Also, instead of a bunch of goyim putting up tents on Wall Street like last time, social media exists now and it will do far more damage to kikes than the last one. It’s a death sentence for them if they let it crash and they know it. You’ll see hyperinflation that makes Weimar Germany look like a joke before they let it crash.

never has, but let's say it did, an investor and you would have the same outcome, if it didn't, you would still be poor and the investor would be financially set, who makes out better?

I would make it out better for never feeling the crushing blow dealt by investment losses, AKA gambling.

>houses
Actually I would love for my house to drop in value. Would save a ton on property tax and insurance. I live in the fucker, it's not an investment to me. Having it's value drop would save me all sorts of payments to 3rd parties. Heck, I might even be able to get a lower rate for the mortgage. That's all less money I have to spend. Meaning more for me to spend elsewhere!

And cars lose their value immediately when you buy them.

>>515070834
>Rich people aren’t rich because poor people are poor.

Uh yes they are, your nation produces product and money is literally the determination of how that product is distributed. The grocery store doesn't give away it's food for free if no one is there to buy it, they destroy the food. The wealthy have been amassing a bigger and bigger share of the product by leveraging their existing wealth.

>There aren’t enough rich people to rent all the apartments, or drive all the cars, or buy all the food, cosmetics, etc.

Things that cost money to own will get repriced, assets that are unproductive or bought on credit. Other things will just go unused, there's tons of commercial property and land that sits empty forever because the price inflates with time.

>What happens when the entirety of the poor stop buying stuff from corporations, go full informal mode, build favelas, and technically drop out of the economy altogether?

Will not be allowed to happen, the system is expanding more and more and you can't live unless you are integrated with it. You need a bank account, you need credit, you need a phone, you need email. The system uses the threat of violence to push you around until you are a part of it.
>>
>>515071605
>AKA gambling

It's only gambling if you're picking individual stocks or trading or you sell your losses. The stock market can only go up over time because they have no choice but to keep printing more and more money over time.
>>
>>515071520
>never has, but let's say it did, an investor and you would have the same outcome, if it didn't, you would still be poor and the investor would be financially set, who makes out better
Is better to not be an investor at all than being a bad investor. If you are enough self aware that you aren't cut for it then it's fine. But doing bad investments could land you on an even worse position than your starting point, there is a reason /biz/ user kill themselves so much, only /lgbt/ surpass their level of suicides

Most people can't sell their stocks because they're tied to retirement plans. Assets will do great, especially since worsening employment means lower rates and cheaper money and loosening demand on labor means lower wages that people will have to accept, and commodities will need to drop to the lower purchasing power of the average consumer. If you work a job that can't be replaced at the moment and are making good money this is an indicator of absolutely amazing times ahead. If you're a low class serf though be prepared to tighten that belt up lmao.

This. Corporate profits are going to go vertical(er). They're going to increase in verticality. The verticalness is going be even verticaler than it already is.

>>515072618
Were you even alive in 2008?

I remember when I thought $8 for a burger, fries and drink was too expensive. When the normal price for a house was $300k. When the average person was driving a $20k toyota or honda. When cellphones didn't exist and you had to remember the phone numbers of every person you ever knew and if you wanted to see your friends you had to meet them in person.

The stock market goes down a bit, but it always goes back up because they keep printing more money. It has gone up for 100 years and it will keep going up for a 100 more, it might not be in USD, but the value will hold.
>>
>>515068099
