Telemarketing is arguably one of the worst and most useless "jobs" you can be employed in, the only two groups people it benefits is the jeet (who gets paid like, 2 dollars an hour, which is a lot of money to them) and the ever increasingly stingy millionaires that work for ZOG to full the monolithic corporate machines they are beholden to. Postential customers often get scammed, are dumb and are sold things they don't need, and if they did need anything a telemarketer would direct them to, they would have done the research themselves (which honestly obsoletes like 80-90% of marketing/advertising right there.) These numbers are AFTER wading through thousands of people, the 90%~ of people who don't want to be bothered at all, and are getting unwanted solicitation because their personal info was scraped up by some scummy advertisement agency from the start. Most on-phone jobs are pretty useless to begin with, like help-desk, consulting, census, surveys, "counseling," etc, but at least those are attempts to help people connect with info or contacts that might actually provide a two-way benefit. Telemarketers are 100% about benefiting whatever garbage company feels it necessary to bother untold numbers of people in hopes of catching a couple suckers. I know its a garbage twitter-cap thread but man wouldn't it be nice. Removing ALL telemarketers from the world would effectively be like adblock for your phone.
