I'm a cradle Catholic so I got lucky but I'm also a revert who's now coming back to my faith. In the Catholic church, you'll go to classes, get baptised, and then get confirmed, then you can start receiving the sacraments like the Eucharist. It is difficult if you take it seriously, but Jesus said the way is narrow and few will enter. In my own journey back to the faith and Jesus I have yet to interact with a single bit of Catholic doctrine that didn't make sense. Some of the more mystical dogma is astounding and hard to accept at times, I'll admit, but it's the same thing, the closer you get, the more you believe. And finally if you're enticed by protestantism first, especially like baptists or whatever, at least give Catholicism a chance, and notice that Catholics never mention other denominations, and yet a baptist preacher will slander the Catholic church as a homily. Something to consider. The only other denom I've heard mentioned in the CC has been the Orthodox, and it was only to praise and highlight our similarities, I think because the churc is pushing to try to heal the 1000 year schism between East and West.
