For better or worse (I think leaning more towards better) once comments, articles, profiles, images and videos can be artificially created and you cant tell them apart from the real thing what is the point of even going on the internet, specially social media. People at that point would rather just tell their own personalized AI to create these sort of contents for them, whether based on real events or fantasy. I do believe discord like groups will overtake social media and these massive apps but even then the people joining them would need to be known irl by people in the community to be vouched that they are real and not some AI agent and they would at best be a few hundred or so strong, not millions or billions of people.Even though most things on the internet arent harmful and lean more towards entertainment and even education commonly, I think the negative aspects of social media are genuinely horrible and create hate, polarization of society and mass real life social issues. Its best that most of the internet dies
