It's a puppet state of China. China doesn't want the US on its back porch so it will prop up the norks as long as possible. A failed nork state would result in millions of retarded peasants with no money or modern skills flooding into China. South Korea might absorb some but most of the retarded peasants would flee to China due to a lifetime of propaganda. In the end, it's a made up country that only exists because China wants it to.
