If China takes Taiwan, the USA will take over Mexico and probably all of Central America (with Bukele's help), as well as the western part of South America. It'll be justified as a pre-emptive measure to make sure China doesn't get boots on the ground in the western hemisphere. And then after the war, assuming we win, those areas will probably not be granted their independence again. They'll just become part of a greater USA
