Do europeans even realize that? From this point Russia fully commits to the East as West turned out to be a shitty unreliable partner.
>>
>>515286163
Nah it will come back it'll just be shipped on a boat through Putin and Trump's arctic trade lane. Ukraine has to be done before that happens, though.
The funniest part is they're going to be made to pay even more than they already did. Good strategy for a get rich quick money grab ngl.

Nord stream or pipeline gas is not the same as LNG.
Also there is no arctic trade line with trump, however Russian acrtic LNG gas is being sold currently to China.

The east isn’t fully committed to Russia lol. This pipeline is hilarious, Russia pays for it, and china gets to buy gas from it at Russian domestic rates. Russians trying to spin this as anything other than bending over and spreading their cheeks to attract China is just coping. Personally I don’t think it will be finished before your economy collapses (again)

The financing scheme is just being decided on, the route goes through Yamal all the way down to Mongolia, it's the biggest project of this caliber so far in the world so it will take some time before they finish it.

There is also Power of Siberia-3 which is going to be an extension of existing domestic pipeline from Sahalin.

Norway has limited supply of oil and gas
>>
Not only that, but the Yamal gas fields initially intended for delivering gas to Europe will be diverted to Power of Siberia 2. The deliveries will start in 2030 and will contractually last for 30 years. Even if sane, not terminally retarded people like Ursula somehow take over in Europe, they won't be able to negotiate any gas from Russia. The president who takes over after Putin won't be able to redivert supply to Europe either. This means energy price inflation in Europe won't stop. Deindustrialization in Europe won't stop. They won't be able to afford having any kind of industry. Besides tourism, frankly there's no idea how are they even going to have an economy at all. Barring some magic miracle, Europe is about to experience an era of poverty and irrelevance which would most closely resemble the early medieval right after the collapse of Rome. Oh well

Having Russia committing to China would be the best outcome. They may act all buddy buddy now but historically, China still holds a grudge against them for a number of historical border skirmishes and territory disputes going back to Stalin. And the Chinese are known to hold grudges for a long time. The Russians are also none to pleased about a number of military collaboration projects with Mikoyan that fell through due to the Chinese copying their designs and manufacturing bootleg copies that cut into their export market.

you're misunderstanding the situation.
First of all, the gas still flows to Europe but throught he Turkstream and not in a big quantities.
Russia also massively ramped up the LNG production and we sell it to EU countries.
However the sole purpose of Nord stream was to power the German economy with cheap gas.
It was so much gas they were actually using market price to sell it on the EU market, racking in billions.
So, what actually happened is German economy and manufacturing being obliterated.

>Nord stream gas is never coming back. Do europeans even realize that?
Some may still hope so, but if Russia contractually and factually commits that gas to China we are shit out of luck.
And that seems to be reality.
>From this point Russia fully commits to the East as West turned out to be a shitty unreliable partner.
We always were, but we usually ended up paying anyway.'
But now that the mask has slipped and we (our leaders that is) openly refer to Russia as an enemy, then I think any partnership is a fantasy.

And for what really?
It is a US proxy war against Russia, for some reason Ukraine and the rest of Europe has to pay for it... to gain... nothing.
Usually wars are done or prolonged to gain something, but there is none of that in this war.

Russia is getting stronger by the war while we are getting weaker (and poorer).
We are also losing money directly as well as indirectly by losing access to cheap energy and an actual partner that can make functioning nuclear reactors.

Even if one hates Russia, the logic is obvious.
End the involvement in the war now.

But this project is not run by rational beings (on our end), not anyone with economic literacy or the best interest of their countries at heart.

Yeah.
Unfortunately you will have to struggle to find larger EU cuckolds than our political elites.
We are even building MORE export cables to Europe when what we should to is blow up the existing ones and build more nuclear (preferably Russian since they are the world leaders in the field with default efficiency over 105%).

So relative to what we should do, we are all living in opposite land and the result is obvious.
The energy companies are laughing all the way to the bank though, even if they pretend to lose money.
Except for the wind energy producers who are actually losing money... on energy.

Pipeline gas was delivered to Germany on long-running term contracts for very cheap in massive quantities that they then sold on market.
The delivery of such gas is also very cheap after you get the infrastructure going compared to the sea transportation.

It was cheap because the EU could pit Norway and Russia against each other because the EU had a surplus of available pipeline gas.
Both Russia and Norway build LNG plants in the Arctic because LNG could be sold at the world market.

That pic...
Maybe we can solve global CO2 emissions if we add another tax on plastic bags in Scandinavia... that also applies to plastic bags that don't contain any plastic?

What is even more infuriating is that a lot of Chinas CO2 emissions are from industry WE SEND THERE.
While we are navel gazing here over cutting our emissions by sending jobs and industries to China, the net result is that for every appliance made CO2 emissions double (due to Chinas energy mix being more CO2 heavy than in Norway or Sweden).

So sending say Electrosux factories to China raises emissions, while we pretend we just saved the planet.
(Whether or not CO2 actually matters, is good or bad for climate etc, is irrelevant for the argument btw).

I am fairly certain that if we just offed all politicians and government employees (aka jews and jew lackeys) to devolve into total anarchy, life would actually improve long term for us.

At least historically, the narratives where harder to disprove and often rooted in some logic.
Nowadays it is just nonsensical drivel with so called journalists endorsing it (and the masses seemingly buying it).

You are incapable of understanding that Russias only economic chip is its gas station status and what they are doing is saying “we will sell it to china for peanuts instead!” There are other gas stations, they don’t cost much more, and one of my cars is electric anyway. Energy export to the EU is their only profitable business, if they want to kill it who cares, for the EU they are (and largely have been) easily replaced.
>>515298363
The EU hasn’t been competitive on cost since before I was born, we compete based on quality, access to markets that actually matter, and consistency. We leave the race to the bottom to the global south.

Honestly, I think that the most likely outcome is Putin dies, the new government quickly denounces the old government as traitors and counter revolutionaries as is tradition, and they go back to exporting to the EU, this time with harsher conditions and lower (and decreasing as the switch to renewables progresses) volumes. Likely one of the conditions will be that part of the profits go towards the reconstruction of Ukraine.

A large part of the cost of a car is the energy needed to make it. Robots and machines run on electricity, and that is cheaper in the USA and China.

>You're thinking from the perspective of the aggressor.
No (even though we are the aggressors in this case).

If you are invaded and forced into a war, there are a couple of questions you need to consider.
> Is the peace you can get by fighting better than the peace you can get by negotiations?
> Will continuing the war/resistance lead to the annihilation of your people?
> Are your goals achievable?

Russias peace offering is far better than what can be achieved by prolonging the war.
Had Ukraine and NATO accepted the offer in march 2022, Lugansk, Donetsk would NOT become part of Russia, Kherson and Zaporozia would remin Ukrainian and the war would be over.

Had Ukraine just accepted Minsk and Minsk II, there would not even have been a flair up.

So what are we (the Europeans) in the fight for?
Russia has repeatedly offered to give up territory it controls for peace, we have refused.

So from our and Ukraines perspective, any peace right now is better than continuing a losing war that (according to the chart below for instance) we (ok, our proxy) started.
>Obviously there are reasons for the other side to fight or assist, like in this case wanting to contain an expansionist power.
Are you one of those who believe the war started in 2022?
Well, as you see in pic related, even then the war started before the Russian invasion by Ukrainian shelling on Donetsk and Lugansk.

Russia doesn't only have gas.
>>
>>515302095
No, let the slavic untermensch wipe each other out as much as they want.
But before that send a couple fighters to bring down the Chernobyl sarcophagus, that was paid by Europe, would be unfair to just give it to slavs.
>>

russia has nothing - it's oil deposits will run dry in 25 years and become unprofitable in half that time if prices stay the same
>>
>>515302640
>how much?
About 30bil cubic meters a year. Compare to 180bil they've lost from Europe. Don't ask why Gazprom is doing mass layoffs.
>prices
Oh that's a state secret anon. Wouldn't want the gopniks at home to find out they're paying more than Chang.

Why is Norway so rich?
It's because we export raw materials and energy, and both commodities are scarce, is it not?
Russia will become one of the richests nations in the world.

Making your economy rely on others is just making you an easy target.
Any country who's money comes mainly from exports is doomed.
>>
>>515302623
Norway is rich because they actually invest the money from extraction into their own country, Russians would rather spend it in Europe. If Russia was going to get rich from resource extraction why hasn’t it happened yet? They’ve already exported far more per capita than Norway?

Its slowly reaching the NS1 level(NS2 was built but never operational) however the gas to EU through okraina and belarus was never restored.

No, they rely on their militaries, which is why the USA is the only worthwhile country on Earth.
Your country needs to turn into a fortress that can't be touched by anyone, and any agressors need to be deal with by force.
Russia, China, Europe, all these lesser powers rely on selling their countries out like whores because they are weak, of they dont sell themselves out for cheap they get invaded.
Europe right now is suffering from falling so hard for the lie of globalism and international trade.

Because of communism. We have Russian fishing vessels visiting Norway. They used to be low tech rust buckets, but these days they are Norwegian standard.
We also know that the Russians are not stupid from trading with them.

>>
>>515303406
Yes it does, export economies mean making other countries stronger, and Russia owes its existence to their unbearable climate, not to their pitiful army.
If the USA wanted they could invade Mexico within a couple of days, that's what makes a country great.

Europe doesnt need Russia's resources.

They are enriched with diversity and strong, empowered women so they dont need these fossil fuels LOL.

Anyway brown people and women can't do manufacturing so they wont need as much energy. They can feed themselves with their social programs.

The biggest cope lmao. As if Russians have some sort of +25 cold resistance modifier. Cold hits them like it hits anyone else.

Wrong, Russia is a living testament. Powerful nations thorought history were export economies. Britain during victorian ages was a export economy, USA during its peak (1920-1950) was a export economy, Netherlands in the 17th century was a export economy, your country was a export economy.... They haven’t been communist for 30 years, in that time they have followed the African model of resource extraction, not the Norwegian model. Why would they switch now, and what would have to change in their society to allow that change?
>>515303039
Not denying that it is a good deal for China, for Russia it’s pretty humiliating and definitely not as profitable
>>
>>515303628
I dont believe in NATO, I believe in the US, and that their military strength is something every worthwhile nation should match.
A great military means everyone will bend over to you with even the smallest amount of pressure.
Why is Ukraine being invaded? Why is Russia literally flying drones all over Europe?
Why is Europe not sinking every single migrant ship and bombing every single migrant route?
Because their militaries are fucking trash and instead unironically thought le ebin trade would bring a world of hecking wholesome rainbows and teddy bears.

I, for one, am glad that Russia for invading Ukraine and reminding people how this planet works.

Might will always be right.

>export economies
Pure juden, neoliberal lies.
Making other countries stronger will benefit you in the long run.
You want something from others? Well the example is, ironically, Russia.
They wanted Ukraine's rare earth element mines in Donbass and thus invaded.
That's how the world really works.
>>
>>515286163
>Do europeans even realize that?
nope. 99% really think all this is about Russia, rights of small states etc. when its the USA deliberately crippling Europe to deny China a market.

To be fair, if you were a country of 25 million people, you'd be noticeably poorer per capita.
