An American Carroll Alan Ladd said in his memoir that an American army employee got his penis cut off by a Vietnamese woman.

Does anyone have records of patients at the Third Field Hospital in Saigon so he can be identified?

It scared the hell out of a lot of other Americans who had foreign girlfriends that had said the same thing to them. Some of the guys left their girlfriends. The man had to be transferred to the Third Field Hospital in Saigon.
