It does look like Kirk is wearing a chest plate, and the "entry hole" is huge. I actually thought someone shot him in the back of the neck, and that was the exit hole. It appears to be the size of a nickel, and now I'm thinking the projectile was a frangible that immediately expanded upon entry..blowing out the entry wound.My problem with the ballistics is this:If the round did not blow out a massive exit wound, then was it fmj? If it was fmj, then how did it create such a large entry hole? If the bullet created a larger entry than bullet size, then it must have expanded immediately upon entry, blowing back expansion pressures upon the entry. If that is the case, then it's likely frangible. If it's frangible, then such a small amount of soft tissue expansion could only be posisble with much lower velocity.
