I was a sophomore in high school doing some math work. Someone ran into the classroom saying to turn on the TVs, and that the pentagon was under attack. We spent the rest of the day watching TV during most classes, and even seeing the collapse live on air. Before that my friend and I also noticed a weird face like figure in the smoke coming out of the wtc which people say looked like a devil. I went home and watched all day until the building 7 collapsed on tv in the evening. Then I saw the president's speech later after that. I lived outside a military base so there was a ton of activity everywhere and they were locking up.

It started at the end of the schoolday for me here, during French. I had ko idea. My friend and I then took a leisurely walk home rather than catching the bus because it was such a nice day. The walk takes about 35 minutes, we had no idea the whole way. When I got home my mum as well as my dad who was inexplicably off work that day were both glued to the TV, the second tower had already fallen about 10 minutes before I got there, I missed the whole thing.In hindsight I remembered seeing a few teachers running through the corridors during French, so that was probably related.

I was a freshman in high school. Soon after the first plane hit, my English teacher turned the TV on because another teacher came in and whispered in her ear. We all sat and watched the second plane hit. Then we all watched both towers fall. Then, pretty much every parent showed up to the school to take their kids home. I live in Chicago and everyone was worried that Chicago was going to be next somehow. It honestly was a day I will never forget. Truly horrible. It really shapes you as a person to watch 3,000 people die on TV at that age. 9/11 isn’t something I joke about. We all know who actually was behind it, but it happened and it changed the entire world. I always take the time to reflect on this day. RIP to all the innocent lives lost.
