I've gone over the data and analyzed the video and audio and it seems like the only logical conclusion is that the assassin used such a weapon.
It's the smallest gun that firest a rifle cartridge, and with the forend removed it's just a tube on a handle, very easy to conceal.

Naw, more likely a short small .40 or .45acp from the audience. Rifle shot just doesn't add up, especially since they are pushing that narrative and nobody is even a suspect and nobody knows if a rifle was used.
