I had this problem earlier in the year. I had applied for close to 30 jobs over the course of a month and a half. Called several of the places of employment to get no call back. The thing you have to realize about applying for work today in this Hellscape is you are expected to do everything and anything to get the carrot dangled in front of your face. They don't want just your resume, they want a CV, they want you to sweet talk them, and they want you to reach out and be persistent for bottom of the barrel, barely livable if not outright unlivable wages.
