I just couldn't vibe with any of the 8 characters. Tactics and Tactics Advance1&2 are good titles. Never played the Chocobo Racing titles. And then there are FF 1, 2, 3, and 5 which I just don't bother mentioning. They're reasonable games but kind of a different era. 4&6 are just better versions of those titles.

I recently played FF7 Rebirth and feel like it was the first time I had fun playing a video game since the early 00s. I've still continued playing games on and off since falling off after the PS2 era, kind of became a soulless industry and I'd just play out of habit.There are modern games that I enjoy and will play, I've sunk thousands of hours into GSGs like CK2, EU4 etc. and played all of the Souls games, Elden Ring which I like but I don't enjoy the way I did when I was a kid.Something just clicked when I played FF7 Rebirth and I just sat like a drooling retard playing it for 80 hours.
