Objectively speaking, why should anyone care about animal cruelty? Animals aren't human, they have no conscience or awareness of themselves, they have no free will, they're no different than a cell, no different than matter other than being life itself that only reacts on 100% instinct and nothing more. Even religious people think that animals have no souls while humans do. If we have animal cruelty laws then by that logic we should have laws protecting inanimate objects, after all both have no souls nor free will nor the capacity to have a conscience because it would be impossible for both of them to have it since only humans have it.
