move the America and be a rich plumber.

this is what you could be driving in America as a plumber.

Your family wouldn’t be grateful for your help anyway. They never are. In fact, they’ll probably resent you for being successful.

Calm down tranny. AI and H1b pajeets are why Americans can't get tech jobs.

>>516987079
being a plumber is a useful skill. i realize everyone wants a cozy office job earning 6 figures a year, but it won't happen for most people. we all can't be millionaires. we all can't even be successful. this idea needs to be rooted from society. accept your place in society and make the best of it you can.

Smart plumbers drive a beat up 20 year old Ford F250 to the job site. And leave the $90,000 new pickup truck at home for the weekends.

You see, it’s much harder to get the client to approve Change Orders if it looks like you’re flush with cash. If you look like a broke, struggling tradesman, nobody realizes how rich you’re getting off them.
>>
>>516987557
Fuck you retard. Construction trades ARE hiring since all the illegal aliens have been systematically scooped off job sites and deported.

Now it’s a better than ever time to get involved with the Building Trades.
>>
>>516988821
Being a plumber can make you 6 figures a year if you’re smart.
It’s not cushy, and sometimes the working conditions are literally shitty.

Maybe learn to be an electrician or HVAC guy, instead.
>>
>>516989554
I’ve been warning people about outsourcing since 2004. Nothing has gotten better in my industry with offshore tech in 20 years. No matter the country they are in, they’re all garbage at the task.

it is just myself for now. Not planning on every employing anyone because those crows will undercut me the second they can. They want me to maintain their two chinese restaurants and a two stores. Restaurants will mostly be unclogging logs of chink shit, I can charge well but can take time.

I'd really want a work from home type of job. being on the streets all the time makes me take very unhealthy food. My girlfriend packs me lunch but I just developed a taste for kiosk hot dogs that I can't take out of my system

be for real you fucking polak, kek, software engineers live like kings

my daily routine as a software engineer in spain

>wake up at 10 am
>do daily standup
>run script for teams status and take a nap
>write some code, couple hours tops if its a busy day
>complain that foids only spread their legs for chad on r9k
>goon to minors being whores on social media
>go get groceries, check the time, wagies aren't out of the cagie yet, kek
>get home and masturbate more

for this i make top 10% income. you are SEVERELY underrating the importance of how much money you get PER HOUR WORKED and quality of life
>>
>>516990965
No your parents wouldn’t be grateful either. You know why? There is some sibling that is more dysfunctional than you whom they would side with and fuck your over for, especially your mom. She’d rather see you all sink together than one of you thrive and she’ll feel guilty about his being a fuck up so she will always take his side, enabling him, and emboldening his transgressions against you. You’d have to call out your mom to make it stop and she won’t care.
>>
>>516987079
Trades are where it's at right now, it's the same in the UK. The amount of job listings I see for plumbers, skilled labourers, roofers, electricians etc is endless. Why would you want to be a software engineer? You will just be competing with ranjeet and grok to make shovelware. Also the fact that your grad friends have not got jobs surely tells you that you made the right move getting into trades, no?

Focus on specializing, get some certs, maybe move to a non povvo country.

Sorry anon but you sound like a child. Not everyone can wfh and I’m saying this as wfh fag myself, I’m a bit higher in hierarchy and I literally can’t sleep sometimes due to stress, my eyes are shit from computer monitor, my back is arched and my hands looks like I’m a femoid. Weak and muscle loss so now I’m trying to kinda get into shape again. Your job as a plumber is sealed, AI- resistant, needed, and once you have a good reputation, you are in for some serious money. Nothing more soul draining than 1,5 h meetings everyday about utter bullshits or trying to force client to tell what exactly the fuck they want. Idk what you are imagining by ((wfh)) but you are 100% romanticising it. Create 1-man company and charge them your own prices. Will be good kid, stay on the plumbing path, look at my flag, I recommend you good. If you add electrician course over the years to this, you are settled for life. Listen to old fag. Someone else Grass is not always greener, zoom.

I unironically have no idea how you do this. make sure you understand what company HR wants to hear, and how their AI filters out resumes to show them the most relevant ones

>>516988656
AI has no effect on the software engineering job market. it is a very complex job that requires real reasoning, and can't be learned by repetition, hence the shortage (high salaries) despite everyone trying to learn to code. When you see people say AI is taking any software dev jobs at all, it is just a consequence of every idiot having a voice on the internet.

Also, consider that many, many people have been trying to learn to code, but the supply of coders has not actually increased, or pay would be very low by now. Mathematically, this means that most people trying to learn to code could not learn to code because they were not intelligent enough. Of course, nobody likes to tell people "i am not good enough to learn to code", so you don't see comments saying that, but you see it indirectly, because you can still see the hatred towards coders that probably has something to do with that.

Here in Slavic culture it’s a disgrace if you can’t fix / build your house yourself. You are just hedonistic coomer, opportunist and I saw many like this, then later having hard meeting with the wall, when project ended, when audit came, when startup budged drained, layoffs etc etc

>you sound like a child

tip, when someone tells you you are being childish, you should do the opposite of their advice.

"you are childish" is code for "i want you to be miserable". without fail, they always tell you to work harder than you need to, to never try to be happy, and to never think you are anything but another cog in a machine
>>
>>516994194
i have:

around 10 individual residents that call me once every three months, owners of big houses.

three apartment buildings that have like an administration comittee (we call them consorcios) which call me every time there's a problem in one apartment, I then charge the comittee and they pay. They usually pay a little bit less but it is a nice way to have around 130 showers/toilets that are only worked by you, nice way to have constant money. The administrators of the building call me.

the chinese guy with two stores and the two restaurants he's offering.

If i take the chinese I'd literally have to take some time off of my software engineering studies.

thanks for the insight. I just work 12 hours a day and usually have to wake up in the middle of the night sometimes because the emergency uncloggings pay too good to leave them behind. >>
>>516995129
If you had your own plumbing company you could wake up whenever, take what’s job, charge whatever you want. And you are admitting yourself you are needed. Here we have commieblocks with old radiators. Plumbers make a fortune every winter when everyone is turning them on en masse and they are (zapowietrzone) and they need to fix it- not sure how to translate but it’s when air is inside. Plumber comes, do some movements on the valve and take lightly 350-400 PLN. Per one (1) visit! I witnessed this and it’s taking 5 minutes. Lmao. Know your market.
>>
>>516994934

Jfl

Literally the only reason you didn't call me childish too is because I said I have money. Otherwise I would be childish too according to you, for not wanting to be miserable.

>You are just hedonistic coomer

Yes and proud.

But don't think there will be some magic reckoning where I will be punished and realize all my mistakes. Because what you said has already happened and I've just gotten another job. Sometimes if technologies in demand change I just change my resume to include them and that's it basically.
>>
>>516994934
>disgrace if you can't build/fix your.house yourself
Fixing/renovsting i can do buts but for building theres so much red tape in western europe. My cousins planning permisson got declined because hes too near the ocean. His planned plot was like 3 miles inland from the ocean
>>
>>516995297
AI is currently having no effect on the software dev job market, don't worry it's not replacing anyone, and I don't think it actually will.

Personally I would recommend to do a really deep research on the best way to write your resume. This is in itself a discipline more important than the job itself, and what will consistently put food on your table even if you get fired.

You need to get over an AI that HR has that filters out resumes when they get hundreds per job offer, and trick it with word combinations, then keep in mind an HR foid will read your resume and understand how they think, and then larp as popular NT giga normie in the interview.

Do it the polandia way, register house as a vacation one lmao. Read the law carefully and try to walkaround. Register it as a company or something, for sure there’s a way. Here we are checking the permissions on the land before we buy it. I know a guy who bought literal vacation land with vacation wooden house and he renovated and he’s living there whole year - law here says “vacation house can be occupied if there’s 180 days breaks ((so it’s not your main residence))” but in reality no one can prove how much he is spending there. So he outjew the jews and he’s living quite literally rent free lol
>>
>>516995129
look man, you have a good job, you do something real and useful. Would you really rather be in front of a screen all day staring at text and moving bytes around. Do you really want to be in a field that AI will nuke in five years? Also you already said your gf makes food for you so why do you need to prepare your own meals?

You are a pillar of the community don't be jealous of pointless code monkeys
>>
>>516995456
>zapowietrzone
i googled the term, I get what you say. Didn't know people still used water heating systems. That's a very simple thing to do, usually they just bleed the air out with a valve, if the valve is already built (which should be the case if it's done often) then its like 5 mins for 100 euros? They are getting scammed and the plumber probably is never checking the water presure from the main boiler so he can milk them out every year.

getting a company set up is not only a freaking nightmare but it is just asking for employees to undercut you. Not an option, I prefer working solo 100%

my girlfriend packs me lunch every day but I devour it at around 10 AM. sometimes I don't make it home until 10PM and I devoured 3-4 street hot dogs in the process.

i don't care about providing a useful service i just want to spend more time in my house with my girlfriend.
>>
>>516996297
>any tips on how to build a resume? I have no working experience in programming, only some homework projects that i did.

The typical advice is to do some internship, muh open source work, embellish those homework projects and make them seem cooler than they are (they never check btw), and be patient for your first job bc it'll be harder to get. It took me a few months with internships on my resume and open source work.

Now that i've been interviewing and getting jobs, I realize how easy it would've been to lie. If the above doesn't work just make up a job you didn't have, and make it your current job because they don't call them to ask if you do that. And say you'll quit if they pay you more.
>>
I dropped out of high school, earned a GED, then went to an NY community college which had dorms so I had close to the big university experience while being too dumb and poor to get into one. I picked a dogshit fucking degree and now I'm a NEET but I'm much happier having done that than some lame ass trade job, I had sex with 11 girls during college and had a big group of friends while trade jobs are just sausage fests unless you're into butch dykes, you can't get laid or make fun memories there
>>
>>516996274
>moving bytes around
?

>Do you really want to be in a field that AI will nuke in five years?

Not true, because it's a job that requires reasoning. When chatGPT lies, it's because it doesn't realize what telling the truth or lying even means. And if you understood what programming is like and how AI works, you'd know it's very far from doing any meaningful reasoning.

>>516996274
>pointless code monkeys
Giga cope. Its not like we have government jobs.

Plus you said AI will replace us. Replace what? If we are useless, then according to you, there is nothing that AI needs to do to replace us. We're just paid for nothing.

U software cucks get into tech for the prestige and work from home abilities. U dont really like STEM, thats why u cant find a job, u dont have enough to put on ur resume and dont seem interested enough in interviews. Thats also why software is over saturated

>businesses would just do that to rent

They do that. But as a business they need to pay complicated tax, provide all the papers, have a guy check property out, VAT, accounting etc. and it’s income only for summertime and you would need nice localisation near the lake etc.
for private person however- in the middle of bumfuck nowhere is a genius plan, you just need to insulate house for the winter.
Vacation land tax for a whole year is around 900-1000 PLN. For a year. 700 PLN for garbage disposal.

For a comparison, renting flat in the city- 1500-2500 PLN Per month for rent + utilities + energy etc.
