that's great. the point of tariffs is to encourage domestic manufacturing.

>>
>>516995695
you can't fake export data, smooth brain. it's easily verifiable due to it matching with the importing country's data
>>
They sell to the whole world, not just the US. The point was us buying a lot of their consumerism crap like temu which makes up a huge part of their economy.
>>
>>516995680
This.
I'm not so vindictive that I need china to lose. It would be funny if they did, but whatever. I want the usa to prosper, internally. Not-america can have a gay ol time playing with each other.

>>516995829
We need low rates for people to invest, also the tariffs were mostly walked back. Takes time, low rates and probably much higher tariffs. It's something we will need to phase in over ten years or so.

who gives a fuck about manufacturing? All that shit will be run by AI botfarms to far greater efficiency AND hygiene than today.

It's about energy, buckaroo. For now, oil is still king. Soon we will fully transition to nuclear power (worldwide, that is). And soon after that, we can up it to fusion.

Oil is king? Petrodollar.
Nuclear is king? HMMMMMMMM
Fusion is king? Now golly gee where exactly did those experiments happen...

>Slump in employment not jobs available
You may be unaware but Trump has brought America immigrantion to it's lowest level in decades. All immigrants being deported away from these jobs will affect the report
In good faith see my.post here however >>516996046

China has been faking export data since forever, because no one bothers to compare to the importing countries data.
They often send half full container ships but claim they're full. It's not new and a quick google will show you tons of news articles from years and years ago of China doing shit like this.

>>
>>516996972
This. If the US wants greater autonomy it'll have to work for it, and it can work for it. Millions of americans need work and training and long term it could be very good for the country.
It's main issue as a country is attempting to maintain the status quo of top dog despite the coming decline. The money and effort could be going to its citizens.
>>
>>516997358
>do you think basedbeans are the only crop america grows
Of course not. Do you think it's quick and painless to suddenly have to switch all your farming from one crop to another?
These farms are going bankrupt.
Not saying this is good or bad for any country, it's just a fact.

Dumb fucking shill.
>>
>>516995680
I remember mutts saying that America is the biggest market in the world and China needs you for exports
>>
>>516995596
There is no international trade without the USA allowing it by not actively sabotaging the just-in-time supply chain. China’s economy is export oriented as a result of their inverted demographic pyramid. China will collapse after the USA sabotages international shipping by no longer policing sea lanes while arming pirates. All nations must be on board for the just-in-time supply chain to function. Any disruption no matter how small is catastrophic. One bad actor can ruin it for everyone.
>>
>>516995680

I want my Air to be like China too!
>>
>>516998175
China can secure their own shipping lanes. Its a question of whether America is willing to waste trillions fighting them.
>>
>>516998175
Why do you think the U.S wants to destroy Chinas exports?
>>
>>516998178
It was in the 70s lol
>>
>>516998501
Obviously because america wants to keep China down and preserve their empire
>>
>>516998308
There will be constant conflict on the seas and the supply chain will be broken indefinitely
>>
>>516995698
The Earth tips and the magnetic poles get reversed.
>>
it's over. tariffs were a ballsy play but the US isnt equipped to manufacture anything on any level to compete with Chinese exports, which is already a global titan.

rebuilding manufacturing in the US will take decades.
>>
You get fooled again and pay a tax
>>
>>516998175
>China will collapse after
Two more weeks.
>>
>>516998685
No, it will stop at some point. China has the potential to create a bigger navy than Americas and its worth protecting their shipping. America can't afford to fight China for long and it will end one way or the other. A lot of the world could side against america if they cause too much chaos and loss in commerce.
>>
>>516999004
It won’t stop before China’s economy collapses.
>>
>>516997567
>someone has to be poor for someone to be rich.

True but a poor person today might be able to run a hot bath for themselves in comparison to needing to be a king in the past to have servants heat up water for you and draw a bath... no?

That's not happening. US domestic manufacturing and exports are down. Maybe you're low-IQ and need this explicitly explained to you, but making components that go into US domestic manufacturing more expensive (by tariffing them) doesn't encourage more domestic manufacturing.

The tariffs are simply a regressive tax and drag down business for all the same reasons that old-school conservatives used to talk about, back when they had a brain and a spine. The only thing they encourage is making our trading partners do more trade with other countries, such as China.
>>
>>516999144
Except that Americans don't want to fight China and they'd need to conscript to do it.

>>
>>517001650
It doesn’t need to be forever, just long enough for China’s economy to collapse. Also other countries that trade with China will be affected. China imports food from Brazil and Brazil imports fertilizer from Russia to make the food for China. What if the fertilizer from Russia doesn’t reach Brazil?
>>
>>517002892
what is this cope? i see it often but what evidence is showing any kind of collapse on that side? maybe that military coup but is that even real?
>>
>>517002892
Pirates won't collapse their economy mate.
And after a few of them are annihilated by the Chinese navy and their corpses are hung from the ships they will stop.
