I has become completely evident to me that it is in the best interests of the United States for Trump to suspend elections and rule unopposed.You can dislike how much Trump likes Jews but his basic ideas for how to fix the country are solid. Rebuild American manufacturing, kick all the brown people out, rebuild the Navy, get native-born birth rates up. These, if carried out, will fix the United States, or go a long way toward doing so.The trouble is he has no time. We're already nine months into his four-year term. These are big things that need to be done, and four years simply isn't enough time to do them. It will probably take two years to get significant numbers of deportations and immigrant exits. These are ideas that need to be implemented over years, arguably decades. Four years isn't enough time. Hell, eight years wouldn't be enough time.The Chinese government has five-year plans to set the course of the PRC. One five-year plan is longer than a presidential term. Two are longer than an entire administration. China can plan for the long-term because its government does not face regular elections. To set America's course for the long-term Trump must replicate this.In order to do this he will almost certainly have to do something illegal. Suspend elections, use the military to take control, declare a dictatorship. This would also allow him to choose a trustworthy successor, if not Vance then somebody else, rather than trusting to the vagaries of elections. It will be rough but it must be done for the good of the Republic long-term. He needs, basically, the time and power that FDR once had. Arguably even more, given the scale of our multiple crises.
