The standalone Disney+ with ads service is rising from $9.99 to $11.99/month on Oct. 21, 2025, while the Disney+ Premium (without ads) is going from $15.99 to $18.99/month. The Hulu standalone plan with ads is increasing from $9.99 to $11.99/month as of the same date; the premium version of Hulu with no ads will remain at $18.99 per month.

Then Tivo came out and you could get hundreds of channels HUNDREDS for like $30 or $50 a month and NO ads. It was a lot of money, but everyone was very very happy. This was before the internet got big and youtube. So if you wanted to watch anything you had to pay for TV. But it's 2025. You don't have to pay to watch anything. You can get access to Millions of videos for free. You can interact with people for free. You can be plugged in and tuned into what-ever you want for free. And it's not just youtube anymore there's been like 40 different video streaming platforms that have come out since youtube. Rumble and many others. And disney thinks it has the balls to charge $18? Be happy some people are paying you anything and pocket the cash.
