So does it really cause autism?

How the hell should I know? But why does everyone assume it doesn't? is there evidence one way or another?

Theres obviously evidence that it does in the form of studies or it wouldn’t have been said.

The studies are obviously newish and as such against long term assumptions so people might ask for more studies while taking care around the drug from now on.

However, it was Trump’s government that said it and the media hates trump, so they will now say he is wrong and encourage use of the drug and pregnant women will take it to “own the nazis” who don’t actually exist.

I think i can safely /thread

they just flat out made stuff up.
I've been so depressed about that. They're just monkeys. it was over a game and it was just made up, and they got all mad about it.

Chewing on pencils causes autism.
Now theres no studies that support that but theres also no studies that disprove it.
Therefore its just as likely it does as it doesn't and its totally justified for someone in political office to spread information that pencils are dangerous and we should stop using them.

It causes autism in usa, it doesn't outside of usa. Notice that three quarters of juveniles in us is autistic and it's in single percents everywhere else.
>>
It does. You can look it up.
There is more than one “autism” cause and they appear to be true.
Autism is a psychological spectrum encompassing many biological disorders with different causes, like toxicity, genes. So it’s not like they will find the ultimate cause or cure. Tylenol is definitely bad for pregnant women. And Redditors that are convinced this is political or against women, will turn out to be wrong. Reddit is convinced psychology diagnosis often requires medication and that if scientists can’t find a link in broad study that things are safe. They believe anything “science” says, when they are actually taking risks and old advice from corporations. Even a lot of YouTubers and doctors citing papers not finding a link in the big studies will turn out to be wrong, because problems with the conclusions. There’s many small studies suggesting Tylenol is neurotoxic. That should be enough to avoid it for developing children.
If you take Tylenol for a week you will start to lose it, feel weird, and anyone who has done so knows.
If you take it once in an adult I’m not sure how dangerous it is.

The research shows a correlation between prenatal paracetamol use and autism.
Correlation doesn't equal causation, but it's a data point that indicates there may be a causal link.
It could be that viral infections during pregnancy increase the risk of autism and sick women use more paracetamol than healthy women.
It could be that paracetamol is depleting the mother of glutathione, a critical antioxidant, increasing oxidative stress for the fetus leading to an increased risk of autism.

Further research needed.
At current: unproven but plausible.
Extra caution should be taken in light of this new data and any paracetamol use should ideally be taken with NAC and selenium.

A singular shitty retarded "study" can only possibly inform upon incidence rate between 2 factors, and only within the parameters of said study, and only if that study was rigorously controlled and carried our perfectly. Science is a tight rope and modern "Scientists" are cliff diving clowns with no parachutes.
It is of my own opinion that vaccines cause autism. But there is no scientific evidence from human studies and will never be any for such a value-judgement statement.

>How many times do I have to tell you dumb fucks?
It is often said, typically in a warning manner, that a correlation does not imply a causal relation. This well-meant advice, however, is wrong. Any correlation implies a causal relation, with a probability inversely proportional to its significance. For clarity: A correlation as meant here is not zero, as the value of zero denotes the absence of correlation. The significance of a correlation, typically reported as a p value, is the probability of that correlation resulting from chance (coincidence) if the true correlation were zero. In other words, p value is the probability that the correlation does not imply a causal relation, and [1 - p value] is the probability it does.
Then on to the nature and direction of the causality; if a correlation exists between A and B, at least one of the following explanations applies: A causes B; B causes A; There is at least one third variable that causes both A and B, linking them. It is the latter explanation, the common cause, that is often overlooked, and that may be what some people are really trying to say with "correlation does not imply causality". But a common cause is a cause nevertheless, so there is causality after all. There can be no correlation without causality, except for by chance (coincidence) as reflected in the correlation's significance. Exactly which variable is a cause, and through which mechanism it works, can be found out and proven by studying all intercorrelations between a broader set of variables, by logical thinking, or by other non-statistical methods like experiment.

You need to understand that there's pilpul at play with autism and vaccines.
Autism can't be caused by vaccines because it's defined as having purely prenatal etiology.
Anything that happens after birth that causes autism like symptoms can't be autism, it's early childhood ABI induced developmental delays.
Sometimes an infant will have an anaphylactic reaction to a vaccine causing a neurological insult, which at such a critical age often leads to life long neurodevelopmental disorders.
But that's not autism, autism can only occur between fertilization and birth ;)

I hope this insight into the word tricks at play helps.

The report isn't released yet. Two reasons people assume is doesn't:
>TDS
The think Trump and RFK did the research personally, and don't trust them.
>Autism is my superpower
If you're ever delved into autistic parent circles, they believe it's an evolutionary step. This absolves them of any wrongdoing, like taking pain medication liberally.

Because government give schools more gibmes when the kid is special needs. Can't really test for tism like downs and even high performers can be "diagnosed" with tism.

Tism diagnosis are mostly fake and gay. Think of it like how a guy who crashed his motorcycle was labeled as a covid death because free money.

>>
>>517174066
Means nothing. Autism isn't a 1 cause thing. It probably isn't a 1 root disease. But you retards can't understand that. Like just because downs cause you to be retarded the lack of an extra chromosome doesn't mean you are not retarded.

I'm sure it's a mixture of genetic predisposition, environmental factors (taking Tylenol would fall under this), and increasing age of pregnant mothers.
>>

With the other announcement about folate it sounds like they might have found the genetic reason, though I don't expect TDS people to listen. Essentially some people have an inability to absorb synthetic folate, aka folic acid; and folic acid supplements/fortification might block natural folate. Knowing this now mother should eat more natural sources of folate and breast feed their kids cause formula contains synthetic folate. The drug the FDA is labeling for autism is a synthetic form of folate that can be absorbed by people who can't process folic acid, might be useful for damaged kids who can't eat solid foods yet.

However Trump bad and my child who can't survive on their own is the next stage in human evolution so I expect the information to be ignored.

>>
Doctors basically recommend taking no medications at all while pregnant AFAIK. But as far as pain management acetaminophen is known to be safer than NSAIDs or Opiates overall. The lack of studies is due to people generally not wanting their pregnant wives/family members risking their kid for a study.
>>
>>517178310
>risking their kid for a study
How the fuck does that track? They're already taking it. Just follow up with them after a few years and see what happened to their kid.
