It's funny reading this. We've had "instructors" (unlike those who were invited from actual combat-worthy units) to approve of those who can't match the normatives. We've had people who literally cannot perform the duties they were assigned to with the hand-waving of "oh, something will work out somehow" and then eventually "something" (his discharge) "working out somehow", wasting tons of government (i.e. partner actually) money in process. We've had a conscript kill himself before seeing any real combat too. Most of them were "pilfered" by other units anyway so he could have just waited but I guess he was too disgusted by "the system". It's such a FUCKING DISGRACE. A man has killed himself and all an officer had to say that it's just "lots of paperwork"? We wasted that man. He could have worked in some other role but our dumb, intransigent system has wasted him. His next of kin were stricken too instead of working for the cause of ridding us from the enemy. Such a waste.

Putin’s Propagandists Dismiss US Statements

>Fuel crisis due to Ukrainian strikes reaches Lipetsk region — governor acknowledges the problem Drivers in the Lipetsk region have been complaining since the beginning of the week about high prices and supply disruptions of AI-95 gasoline (82 rubles per liter) at gas stations. Queues are forming at gas stations, and gasoline has started to be distributed via fuel cards. The governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, stated that the problems are related to the logistics of gasoline shipments from certain refineries. “I ask you to remain reasonable and not to panic. The image of a ‘gasoline frenzy’ is actively cultivated, including by our opponents, as one of the elements of an information war. We know, we’ve been through this,” he said. Supply disruptions were also acknowledged by the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. “I can report that we are trying to keep the situation under control. Although, of course, there are problems. We are interacting at the level of the Russian Government with the sectoral ministry — the Ministry of Energy,” Gladkov said. The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, also spoke about the disruptions. “The temporary disruptions recorded at various gas stations are generally related to fuel supply chains in the macro-region, and it’s not only about the Nizhny Novgorod region,” he wrote. Earlier, the insufficient amount of gasoline was reported by the Russia-installed “head” of annexed Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, and the “governor” of annexed Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev. According to Kommersant, these Russian-occupied Ukrainian regions have the most severe gasoline situation — sales have dropped by 50%. In the Rostov region, Mari El, and the Jewish Autonomous Region, the number of gas stations selling gasoline has decreased by 12–14%.

>Drivers from the Moscow, Leningrad, Ryazan regions, and several Far Eastern regions report that some stations only dispense 10–20 liters of fuel, and some gas stations have completely switched to selling diesel.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak called the situation a “small shortage.”

“As of today, there is indeed a small shortage of petroleum products, which is being covered by accumulated reserves; this has always been the practice,” he said.

To stabilize the market, the government intends to extend the ban on gasoline exports until the end of the year and limit diesel exports. At the same time, Russian authorities do not acknowledge a connection between the “small shortage” of fuel and Ukrainian strikes on refineries.

If you falter and fall, there will be other men by your side to hold the line. Never fear. The force of good above is on your side. Be wise, be considerate, be merciful, but also be mindful that enemies of your people, and enemies of Europe, are poised to strike. And you will not be found wanting.

In my opinion encouragement is never wasted. Might be our mentality. We prefer actions to words. My father worked hard so that I could have the life I have (a home, a computer, perhaps above else an exemplary education) and this reflects in my mentality. We Ukrainians prefer to do, not just "say". Words are nice but they don't protect you, they don't feed you, they might guide you but they might be misinterpreted. Actions are always better.
Funny note bing that I had a half (?) Greek co-worker once. He was a very good man but seduced by the enemies propaganda before we lost touch (way before 2014). I really need to talk to him while I still breathe but time is so short now.

Hello lads, I've discovered the new ultimate way of owning the Ziggers: posting their immigration and Muslim population statistics.

As their main argument against "the decadent west" is claiming that it's weak and getting colonized by the Muslims, they literally don't know what to say when facing the fact that they're, as a matter of fact, being replaced themselves.

Feel free to use these pictures

Just remember that despite it all seeming very grim not all is lost. Difficult battles are hard to win, and do not necessarily win wars, but they are still worth fighting in.

Because those things erode the fabric of the real society. Not the fake society from "social" media, the real one which is woefully neglected by the youth nowadays because they check out one way or another.
Yes, the society can be improved somewhat, but complete lack of participation is even worse. Mankind - or humankind for the particularly illiterate and triggered - is nor perfect. It is still worth perpetuating.
There will probably "always" be aberrants of this kind or another. Doesn't mean that re-orienting them into something more productive isn't a worthwhile endeavour.

I have personal views in which I believe the US, actual legal wording aside, should have honored the >spirit of the Budapest memorandum. Practical/realpolitik views is that it prevents turdie ideals of going Nork and getting nukes to allow unlimited shitter behaviors. More emotional aspect is I spent 15+ years learning about Soviet military hardware and the Ukrainian connection behind some of the better systems* and gained immense respect for your nation given how it existed underneath the boot of Moscow for so long while being the actual talent.

Because of that it feels immensely shitty you guys have to pay a huge price. I basically believe that the US + NATO + EU nations should have given you guys enough to achieve an earlier and much more (emphasis) military victory (as "non-optimal" as it is for ensuring long term sovereignty via devastating Russia economically and thus militarily) rather than it dragging on into the present and into the future. Very talented people are being wasted in Ukraine right now from this war, as much as it will fan the flames of Ukrainian Nationalism and neuter Russia's future capability in the practical sense of securing NATO's flank in effect. You guys deserve better for how awful history has always been for Eastern Europeans.

We have to pay a huge price for our retardation. First after 1991 for not truly appreciating what we got, then in 2009 for not truly appreciating what we got, then in 2014... I think I'm repeating myself.
Either way, we needed a BAD wake-up call and hopefully this is it. There are no simple and easy solutions. We have what we have, we can fuck up again or we can make it work, the end. We couldn't have a bloodless and easy restoration of independence as 3 fucking historical instances in short term have proven so time to move on and learn from the historical lessons.

You see, the idea that there is a "clean" war is just bullshit. First and foremost, war is about reaching goals. Sometimtes that means demoralizing and doing things that are not so nice.

If you could kill 10 russian women and end the war in this second, would you do it? Think about it: 10 women against ten thousands of lifes? And if so - would you do it with 100 lifes?

If it means anything, I think my personal thoughts on a swift battlefield victory versus the current warfare is that it would secure immediate sovereignty and peace; but it would leave an unknown future which I would believe would receive constant challenges to it afterwards ("2014" style fuckery and bolder moves). The current path you're on, while I believe it to be unfortunate in the loss of life and opportunity for talented individuals leads to a much stronger outcome in regards to national sovereignty.

So in the present I'll quote Thomas Jefferson:

Efficient warfare would've been at least an order of magnitude less taxing, duh. As for outcomes, I'm hesitant to say that our majority is mature enough to learn from the lesson fully. If this is the will of the higher power than so be it. Those who understand will have to work around it and around other influences that are mentally retarded or malicious. Such is life. Life was never promised to be easy, it just seemed that way. We will prevail, all of us. Some say "Whites", some say "Aryans" but I believe such names have fully outlived their usefulness and it's just "civilised" because that perfectly outlines what a human should be. Anything else and it's confined to animalistic - still protected, mind you - but limited existence. And no kind of kvetching about muh tribes or muh opression will change it. Live up to the demanding label of "human" or stay in whatever primitive existence you deserve. Fucking up with civilisation and other humans means you either go back or go extinct too, no discussion.

To clarify what I was trying to say: I think the immediate peace achieved through immediate military means would not have galvanized Ukrainian society to have the immense streak of Ukrainian Nationalism present today. The continued cruelty and barbarianism that Russia unleashed over these long years was a catalyst in a way for maturing your society and awakening some of them from a long "Russophonic slumber" (no offense meant, just there was definite empathy in regards to lingustic and cultural commonality points being weaponized).

I think in that battlefield victory causing Moscow to withdraw forces would have left their military more intact and they would have continued the long war over the decades. This is all while I wouldn't know what direction your society would develop in and if it would remain vulnerable to the old manipulative fuckery that Russia practiced well before 2022. Now I look at your society and I see it being so immensely nationalistic that I believe that you'll have a reprieve for some decades against that manipulation. It also is a catalyst for reform away from some of the Soviet legacy I believe - given how much of it has brought up in how has been a parasite on your society. Would that have ever happened under the more ideal short term battlefield victory? Maybe, but I think there might be less attention, focus and rage towards it as you have today.

The nuance being that EU is an organisation that supposedly represents the wills of the nations involved which all have their own governments. If the nations stop believing that EU in this exact form it exists in represents what they want, it will cease to be relevant. That's the power of the people in action. We decide what we need, not someone else.
Just like we can make an equivalent of NATO as a defensive alliance, we can make an equivalent of EU as an economical (and only that!) alliance. I'm a big fan of preserving ethnic and cultural nuances and seems like EU as it is now is not very conductive for that.
>>
>>517340385
Also, for what it's worth, even if EU just effectively rebrands with "homework" done in the meantime to become thins new thing (and possibly leaving Hungary and Slovenia by the wayside if they tarry too much), that's still fine because function is what's important. Not words, not declarations but what the thing actually does, in practice, in reality.

>Moscowphiles
I think Bucha and other cases of Musucuvite barbarianism meets the depletion of all male Donbabwaeans may have woken them up to the reality that they too would simply be burned as a resource to feed Moscow.

From what casual understanding I know about your national history in the late 80s early 90s one of the Soviet Republic leaders you had ran off to Moscow rather than to be the first Ukrainian President or something.* Something about being #2 or less in Moscow appealed more than being #1 in Ukraine in that era and that mentality permeated with those types.

*Heard about it from the Ushanka Show who himself is a Rusphone and "Soviet" creation rather than being distinctly Ukrainian or Russian but obviously the war has galvanized him strongly to be Ukrainian, even if he emmigrated to the US.

>Our society is still vulnerable to hostile influences and our politicians seem unwilling to do the right (not the unpopular but the right) things to prevent that.
I think it is the cowardice of modern politicians to avoid repeating the mistakes of the early 1900s in the context of the long peace that followed after the collapse of the USSR. At least it is that way in the West. Acting with relative boldness in an era where it looked like the "End of History" was coming true was risky and I can understand why they were weak willed in allowing for "little crimes against humanity", "little green men aggressions to take place" to occur because they thought the overall direction of history was going in the direction of neoliberal peace porn.

I have strong concerns over China's current capabilities with TikTok. Propaganda these days I think has far more effectiveness than it ever did during the Cold War. Political and ideological schizo-cults emerge faster than before and their ideals propagate faster than ever.

I heard an interesting anecdotal example with Operator Starsky talking about some trainer in the Ukrainian military, good person and all but spouted off some weird one off points from Russian propaganda, still pro Ukrainian nationalist views but had some weird news stories and whatnot in their belief set. Turns out they were getting agitpropped by modern social media.

There is something about the older and younger generations (there's a little weird window between what is considered late Gen X, some millennials and to elder zoomers) where a degree of "tits or gtfo" or general skepticism was present. The generations before and after that tend to lack that internet skepticism and gets drawn in easily. It hurts me to say this, but I see unironic boomers and zoomers doing the same dumbass behavior of casually regurgitating propaganda from literally who "influencers" (I loathe the term) without ever doing a 5 second search to check if what they heard was real. "GROK IS THIS REAL?" dumbassery definitely not counting for research. It hurts more given how readily accessible information these days (*00s peak accessibility) compared to what it was like in the early 90s.

In that regard I think China is a nastier monster than the USSR because they exist in modernality and have definite control over these modern methods and means that the Soviets couldn't even dream of along with a captive audience and a lack of context (Cold War, WW2) as to why certain nations/powers are definite shitters.

Oh yeah, one of my least favourite cans of worms.
First, there definitely is vulnerability to the glowing kikescreen among vast numbers of people. You counter it by asking "but what about IRL?" and they just stare at you or mumble something incoherent. Someone, somewhere, posted or """vlogged""" something, really? So what? Tell him to go to that country or ask someone whom he trusts unconditionally (like covering his assault kind of trust) to go wherever that is and seeing for himself. Suddenly he's way less sure in whatever the glowscreen told him.
>There is something about the older and younger generations (there's a little weird window between what is considered late Gen X, some millennials and to elder zoomers) where a degree of "tits or gtfo" or general skepticism was present.
Absolutely. The ones from here that are older have been fed a steady diet of state propaganda and are susceptible to certain angles of attack. The younger are just media thralls which are the same everywhere now, sadly. I think the key being neither of them were among the true pioneers of the World Wide Web but both also thinking that they know enough to be competent when accessing information from its modern horrendous state.

>slop
is my other least favourite can of worms. Take it from an engineer who worked for this now definitely God-forsaken industry for 20 years. And a son of a genius engineer who wanted very little in life beside a happy family (sadly I'm merely a shadow of his greatness). It is absolutely a useful tool in the right hands but the average user takes it for what it is not.

Chicoms are definitely a greater threat. They manage to absorb all innovations without it seemingly impacting their derangement (communism). But hopefully it is only apparent and there seem to be signs of the delusion unravelling over there too.

Unfortunately I run into what Yuri Bezmenov would describe as "demoralized" people. Objective reality and facts mean nothing to their fee-fees which are driven by social media drivel or to put it in slightly closer to contemporary speak: "Vibing with their favorite vlogger."
>I feel a bit unclean after typing that little sentence out.

>neither of them were among the true pioneers of the World Wide Web
This is unfortunate because I feel that the younger generations had all the potential waiting for them. I am myself a product of someone who was raised on the internet within less than 3 years of being able to walk. I look at what's called "iPad kids" and their less brainrotted elder siblings zoomers and a good deal of them did not survive their high exposure rate to the more modern era of the internet (social media addicts, smartphone swiping) too well. It hurts a lot more to see them be frankly as bad as the boomers they hate in not wanting to willingly research information with how accessible it became (compared to what it was like in the early 90s and before). Of course, the change from a much more chaotic, anarchic but very diverse and less "globohomo" ("Corporate Memphis" embodied) internet to what it is today definitely didn't help them.

>Neural nets, LLMs, et al
Too much hype and too much lack of brainpower+skepticism = Really retarded attitudes towards it. The weird parasocial relationships with LLMs where people get effectively cyberpsychosis with them from is concerning to me given how prevalent it seems. I would have thought these people were schizos in waiting but it seems the manifestation rate is a bit high alongside with the after effects of COVID (isolation, social exposure/learning for zoomers and gen A damage, etc).

Grim. Take them into the wilds. Like camping or something. Get them to feel what they are and what the world really is. If they resist I guess they're a lost cause. But nothing beats "the vibe" of just fishing and then cooking what you caught at a campfire.

>This is unfortunate because I feel that the younger generations had all the potential waiting for them.
Of course. The corporations caught them hook, line and sinker from early vulnerable years. Their parents fucked up like their parents' parents with TVs except TVs weren't yet as destructive because everyone was forced to go play outside. Now you take the glowscreen with you outside (and to the school, and to the fucking shitter too if that wasn't enough) so you're completely fucked.

>I would have thought these people were schizos in waiting but it seems the manifestation rate is a bit high alongside with the after effects of COVID (isolation, social exposure/learning for zoomers and gen A damage, etc).
Not getting into the powertrip governments taken with cov2 here but the fact as it happened definitely did not help whatsoever. And no, you're right to conclude that the mental disability is not inherent to the majority but cleverly forced onto them. All in the name of profit, in service of Mammon. So even those who would urge you to not attribute it to malice for the sake of simplicity would be wrong - it's just the wrong kind of malice as well but it's still malice and has disastrous results.

Sergei is an interesting guy to listen to. He's old enough to remember the Soviet era. He's young enough to know how shit things were. He's also was a "Soviet citizen" before he was Ukrainian in terms of his previous natl. identity - down to having some (previous) positive feelings towards Putin in the past given the "apparent reformer moves." I look at him as an interesting case of being an example Ukrainian Russophone who was the creation of the Soviet system.

I'll remark in a way he reminded me of Chinese (not in a direct sense but rather the immigrant experience of realizing the system is shit but being taken for a ride with the post Soviet/"post Communist economy" nation that followed) in some ways, but China didn't turn into a pariah state enough for the Chinese in roughly the same generational bracket to realize how much of a shitter country it is and instead feel pride towards it because they treat the national ego (which is really Xi's egotism) as their own "ego" so anything that makes Xi lose face makes China lose face and makes them feel like they themselves are being attacked from losing face...

In Sergei's case he obviously realized what the fuck is up but I look at my family and their attitudes with China going Wolf Warrior with concern. It hurts more to see what TikTok does to younger Americans domestically with how propagandized they are. I don't think Cold War Americans (granted, my understanding is poorer in this regard) fell for Soviet propaganda as hard as what I can see with some zoomers these days.

It's more of a "well of course I'm smart and great, if I wasn't then I wouldn't be in power for X years", which then gets put onto "we'll do X and use Y as a cover for it, yes, I'm very smart".

>I've never met one before 2022
For me the two biggest demolition charges against any "pro-russian" views were 2004 and 2008:
- during 2004 I've noticed just how fucked up most of the "regular normal russians" instantly became because of the 2004 protests and such, with their media lying and them buying it up (because that's what they already thought deep inside), and disregarding any alternative info from people actually local and inside the events. This was the time pretty much before paid shills and other crap and internet usage wasn't even that widespread in the RU and UA society, only people with enough money, skills or interests had that, so generally the quality of the audience was way better and still it took nothing for them to go from 0 to 60 in their fucked up bullshit;
- during 2008 and their invasion of Georgia it was the final nail in the coffin for any normal views of russia for me, specifically because of how those people and their society overall (including their "liberal icon martyr Navalny") all went full nazi against Georgia and Georgians, inventing alternative reality bullshit about them somehow being at fault, despite russians invading the country. It was rather obvious why they've invaded, because the couldn't take Georgia becoming a normal country and thus slipping away from their influence, simple as;

What's worse is the algorithmic component. I feel that there was more innocence in things like early "YOU"tube back when it was far more independent and less driven to be the lowest common denominator in presentation. The hyper-targeting/"personalization" via modern social media was something that outpaced human society and perhaps human evolution (in terms of how humans are "wired" in regards to social relationship) and is effectively what firewater was for the Native Americans/opium for the Chinese/etc in terms of addiction and damage.

Emphasis on "coms", mate. You're not at fault for being born what you were born as. You do know that there are people born into the small hat tribes that reject the evil too, right? You are what you make yourself.
And thankfully no one is born a commie, you become one and if you are still one past like 25 it's entirely on you and your lacking pre-frontal lobe function.

>He's young enough to know how shit things were.
You don't have to be young enough to appreciate improvement. I had two generations before me to attest to that.

>but China didn't turn into a pariah state enough for the Chinese in roughly the same generational bracket to realize how much of a shitter country it is and instead feel pride towards it because they treat the national ego (which is really Xi's egotism) as their own "ego" so anything that makes Xi lose face makes China lose face and makes them feel like they themselves are being attacked from losing face...
Grim too. I don't want them to turn into a pariah state but I want them to wake up from the delusion that communism (or "totally not communism because we say so right now") works. It always ends in mass graves. Unmarked mass graves. Horrors, tragedies, suffering, deaths. This is the only real communism, in practice. Not a child's idea of everything good for everyone except those bad people - the millions the regime will kill before realising it's doing it wrong, that nothing is working, that it's only misery and poverty from that point onwards forever, that innovation and creativity are crushed by the doctrines of what is now allegedly a mummy in a ziggurat (but has been replaced by wax at this point, entirely). Chinese, as much as that word makes sense, same as "Han", can be a people achieving things without being a plague of locusts indifferent to anything but... what, by the way? What is their ideal? Their goal? Victory of the proletarian revolution across the world? LOL

I genuinely believe that the masking and isolation did immense damage to zoomers and upcoming gen A due to how they were made to not read social cues. I'd also attribute some modern schooling policy (things like Common Core being a part of it) as being additionally damaging. What is a bit nasty, nasty can of worms these days is the widespread use of LLMs in regards to schools and I don't mean by just the students. Professors and teachers who are lazy hacks and use LLMs to grade + provide feedback to essays written by LLMs. Some real unironic cyberpunk horrors for me right there.

I had some personal beliefs that were long ruined about academia being objective institutions in the pursuit of knowledge and merit, but I didn't need to have those long buried beliefs further desecrated by modernality like that. 10/10 Wagner Grave Removal equivalent moment for me with how disgusting academia has become (along with their taint of HR and how that's interwoven with corporatism but oh well personal rantings about the monster that we unleashed upon ourselves societally by overoptimization and optimizing in the wrong directions).

Nice pents
>Emphasis on "coms", mate.
Mainlander heritage confirmed on my end and absolutely brainwashed immediate family (post-00s got really bad for them in contrast to how much they hated their commieland childhood). Funny enough I have some family who emmigrated to Hong Kong and I can feel the Hong Kong nationalism from that one member in how immensely he rejects the mainlander heritage. Down the point he virulently rejects "Chinese" on forms and semi-jokingly asked me if he could actually pick the "decline to state" option.

>age and commies
I notice that certain Eastern European types, the ones who aren't old enough to have felt Stalinism but were young enough to effectively experience "peak USSR" before it went tits up tend to have highly romanticized views of their childhoods. I see similar problems with Chinese as well: The old ones who lived in pre-Maoist China went through a rollercoaster and "realize" what's up with Xi more often than their own boomer aged children. Meanwhile the boomer Chinese who unironically ate shit under Mao are becoming dementia ridden idiots because of how they are under constant propagandization from Chinese "media" (all state sources) and go "muh high speed rail" and other things the state wants to peddle. They were the very same boomers who bitched about how shit their childhoods were under Mao, how people starved to death and so on but fail to recognize that the >Wolf Warrior China that Xi runs is going the same route.

>watch Warlockracy?
I do, I stumbled on his "planet alcatraz" video in April of 2022 while sitting in my Kyiv apartment trying not to go crazy because all of the bullshit I've already had to live through recently and all the bullshit still happening in my life. I knew that game from before and the fucked up crap within it, so it interested me how the fuck one would even attempt to explain and show all that to a western audience. Needless to say, I got hooked on his videos.

>I genuinely believe that the masking and isolation did immense damage to zoomers and upcoming gen A
Bruh, you being very diplomatic here. It was a fuckin' disaster for tons of people, not only limited to gen alpha. The kids got fucked up not only in social stuff, but also with their education. All of that remote bullshit just wasn't working. But even outside kids I know people in the 25-40 y.o. bracket who almost blew their brains out due to lockdowns. E.g. we had this project we were working for a swiss client and from their side the main manager was this guy around 30 y.o., he lived in his own large single family home in Switzerland, and the lockdown had him spend ~1 year at home with his wife and 3 kids - the poor fucker visually aged more than 10 years during that time and also got mentally fucked up. A-la the picrel pipeline. And he had like a 500 sq. m. home. Now imagine families stuck in a 50 sq. m. commieblock apartment with "2 room" (1 bedroom).

>What's worse is the algorithmic component.
Yes, I've mentioned corporations for a reason. Venture capitalism is in no way the same as the kind of capitalism of growing your herd to sell milk, meat and leather. No fucking way. One has worked for thousands of years and the other has spedrun destroying civilisation in merely 30 years or thereabouts while the (((bankers))) are happily clipping their virtual coins. If only the non-insane Jews (or whatever they should really be called) just killed them off before their destructively mentally ill brethren destroyed the rest of the world.
I think the death of creativity both due to diminishing ability (mostly younger users) and unwillingness to contribute to a cesspool (mostly older users; also guilty) is the primary sign of a network going past the point of no return. If it's just slop throwing slop at slop then why bother? It's not even worth consooming.
>>
>>517344547
>I don't think tiktok does more damage that discord has already done
Sadly it does. The "shorts" user flow literally gets people to freeze into this mindless state of swiping from one video to another. That's bad in itself. And then you add the algorithm on top of it, which instantly locks in and feeds you bullshit.

I just think you should really be concerned and displeased over the fact that you are ruled over by Satanic ZOG. Remember when they destroyed Notre Dame cathedral a few years ago? Remember how they made a mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremony of the Olympics last year? Clearly this was the doing of the Dark Lord Satan and his "chosen" people.

There is something about that age bracket where if someone is a little too old they fall into the trap of false positive childhood memories and are enthralled by the nostalgia. Meanwhile when they are too young they don't have a reference point as to "absolutely how shitty things were." Like when I talk to most Americans + English speaking younger-than-gen-X Westerners, most of them cannot fathom how insane and shitty things were in Maoist China. I can get their parents/older generations to understand, they are more often instinctively repulsed by commies.

That I am on that subject. On one hand I am called a doomer and on the other I tell the same people I am an optimist. I hope that the (still slow) return from the coof and the forced touching of grass will make people a little less fucked up but I have my doubts (West Coast American, things aren't great here).

>Professors and teachers who are lazy hacks and use LLMs to grade + provide feedback to essays written by LLMs. Some real unironic cyberpunk horrors for me right there.
Nightmare fuel. Where are the real people in this? Just getting the salaries and having checkmarks put next to their names in spreadsheets to ensure their attendance is registered? Why bother then? Why waste the government's money? Just homeschool those who accept it and write off the rest as lost causes. Fucking hell.
>I had some personal beliefs that were long ruined about academia being objective institutions in the pursuit of knowledge and merit
But they were like that. Even merely 70 years ago they were like that. And if you're willing to go back 98 years ago, it showcased some of the greatest humanity had to offer. It WORKS. We just lost our way.

I used to watch a thing involving video game "bots" until not too long ago but got tired of it. Before that I think I was watching John Bain because he could speak in a way I could appreciate, whether I agreed with him or not. I don't think I've watched anything prior to that. I did have some RSS feeds.

Same thing here with zoomers and soviet shit. When I lore dump soviet shit on friendly zoomers (who trust me implicitly) they are always left fucked up by that. Society fails to show the soviet realities to youngsters despite all the "de-communistation" crap.

>feeling tiny bits of despair that someone over 22 needs to say the words "I need help with some adulting things" and somehow never tried to research the subject for a few minutes with casual online searches...
I get your point, but for me it's easier due to the fact that had always had to do a ton of "handholding" at work to help colleagues, who should in fact know better and do better, so it's easier for me to handle zoomers and their issues.

>the ones who aren't old enough to have felt Stalinism but were young enough to effectively experience "peak USSR" before it went tits up tend to have highly romanticized views of their childhoods.
But that's the thing, the "peak USSR" was shit compared to any year past like 1997 here. Any moment of it. They only know of some propagandised version of it, not the real one. The old ones are nostalgic for times when their back didn't hurt (can relate but only on the back didn't hurting part) and when their dick worked (can't relate, still works).
Any moment between 1991 and 1997 or so was only worse in some regards because USSR was inherently convoluted, artificial shit that only worked when millions of people played pretend but then it produced disasters every day anyway because it didn't actually work in practice. Everything "not fitting the party line" was swept under a rug through various means. And as the pile grew, the rug eventually fell off and USA had to fly in chicken legs to save USSR from starvation. That's how communism "works": by leading to starvation, with mass shootings and concentration camps on the way. Anyone who doesn't realise this need to actually read history books written by people who actually lived through it.

This got me thinking, is there a correlation between the baby boomer generation in USA and the Spanish influenza actual pandemic?

>Academia
I feel modern academia is much, much worse than where it was a century ago. I do believe the elitism was double edged, but there are serious institutional problems with the current environment like "publish or die" or how theoretical sciences has become a massive monetary grift rather than being productive.

Also the massive co-opting of academia by left wing (and especially massive Soviet simps) in the past didn't help along with the continued overtaking of it.

So to put it in a slightly fairer way, I'd say academia has "lost its efficiency" at immense levels in terms of being productive. Furthermore it has become an institution of credentialism upon society by unironic silver spooners (ex: Kamala Harris, see her early life and her parents) who look down on others.

>>517346619
I think you are a bit shielded in a way to modernality for your social circle and perhaps local exposure? I talked to a friend who lives in another state that's far more rural than my extremely metropolitian state. He described his state as being effectively 10 years behind the country. Meanwhile I could say mine is 10 years ahead (in a lot of bad ways) and I could feel the huge difference of how brainfucked some of the younger generations are when we compared.

>I'll try to be more supportive and patient
This is the right attitude. Great nations are build by individuals doing what needs to be done. It is often thankless and sometimes dangerous.
>instead of feeling tiny bits of despair that someone over 22 needs to say the words "I need help with some adulting things" and somehow never tried to research the subject for a few minutes with casual online searches...
Look up "learned helplessness". Corporations, with the blessing of indifferent/partly malicious state, did that in this case.

>>tfw so many readily searchable hobbyist forums are dead due to walled gardens like Facebook, Discord, etc having replaced them.
This is a tragedy that I think of nearly every day. Some are still struggling. Maybe even a few posters can postpone their demise. Worse comes to worst, new ones can be made. You have only lost when you are dead and there is no one else to pick up the torch.
