https://arstechnica.com/google/2025/09/youtube-music-is-testing-ai-hosts-that-will-interrupt-your-tunes/

AI 'host' will chime in while you're listening to music. Yes, really." (YouTube says the AI aims to "deepen your listening experience"...)

The "Beyond the Beat" host will break in every so often with relevant stories, trivia, and commentary about your musical tastes. YouTube says this feature will appear when you are listening to mixes and radio stations.

The experimental feature is intended to be a bit like having a radio host drop some playful banter while cueing up the next song. It sounds a bit like Spotify's AI DJ, but the YouTube AI doesn't create playlists like Spotify's robot...

After joining, the YouTube Music app will get a new button on the Now Playing screen with the familiar Gemini sparkle logo. Tapping that will allow you to snooze the commentary for an hour or the remainder of the day.

>There is no option to completely disable the AI host in the app.

Soulseek still works. Torrenting works. Start downloading your tunes now if you don't already have a library

Not if you train an AI with the music you download. Then it's legal.

Spotify already does this with their nigger AI dj.
>And now up nex dis sum oldies from da 70s
I don't think you can even change it. They really do have to put niggers in absolutely everything. I assume youtube will be no different
>>

Ain't gonna lie, it does sound cool, but only if I can host the model myself and have it work with my own (pirated) music collection

Theyve been obnoxious with the ads lately too. Used to be two ads between songs but now the song starts and will cut to an add before the drop or chorus.

This will drive people back to physical media, because nobody wants to listen to a fucking radio DJ

I like how AI (LLM slop) has no practical, organic use-case so the megacorps that have sunk 10s of billions into it need to force it into everything in their possession to boost """engagement""" metrics
The NVDA bubble can't pop soon enough

I haven’t used YouTube in months. I wonder how long it will be before it’s mandatory to use YouTube.

Does it also try to sneak ai slop into your playlists like Spotify?
>>
>>517413433
Never the idea with the kike susan wojicki ruining youtube and then handing the bag off to pajeets is so that you will abandon youtube for twitch. because youtube has free speech in the comment section that is sort of backed into the cake, they want youtube to fail so we are corralled to twitch which is moderated heavily to be as gay and jewish as humanly possible
>>

RYS on Firefox used to keep YouTube on a tight leash. I haven't installed it since they implemented that garbage.
