Mormonism is something else. If they continue to grow, they will become a very powerful group in the United States. They have the potential to gain even more power than the Jews. They are already very rich. It remains to be seen if there will be attacks on them because many will certainly see them as a real threat.

I'm not snide, I really don't see a significance in any christian sect habbening. Christians already are apolitical by definition. Their "faith" aka good goy devotion is as good as it gets in terms of being the proverbial sheeple being taken care of by a rabbi-type shepherd. Or grifter.

Well, maybe you'd be interested in the fact that German superstitions were instrumental in creating the Mormon religion.

Germans believed in treasure-digging, magic circles, demons, etc.

German emigrants brought these traditions to early US.

Joseph Smith's family and friends around his home town(s) bought into these weird supernatural superstitions.

Once JS and company got in trouble for defrauding fellow Americans, he pivoted to re-interpreting religion.

JS's stroke of genius was to create an unprovable (at the time) religion that was a mixture of all the most powerful religions in the world (christianity, protestantism, jew, muslim, and even egyptian and masonic).

Mix in the most fortunate and unfortunate of circumstances and a bunch of people willing to make a Pioneer trek across the United States wilderness to the West, forming all the famous trails (like the Oregon Trail) , and essentially modern-day Interstate 80, and then the west was born and the US became a super power after the 1849-ers used these trails.

No, he's reading from magical holograms that formed out of a chocolate stone that he would hide in the shade of his hat.

The reading from the plates thing was taught to cover up the weirdness of the stone. Eventually the church had to come clean, and a reporter asked Nelson about it on camera, and he demonstrated it. Around this time the church finally admitted they were in posession of JS's stone that he kept in a nutsack around his neck and used for everything. (same rock he used to trick people into believing he could see location of buried treasure underground) This was a monumental moment in the mormon church

ever since then, they've been trying to regain some footing as to what EXACTLY they believe, given lack of physical evidence that SHOULD have turned up by now with modern science

Found a reference:

>Magic circles—drawn for protection during rituals to contain or ward off spirits—have roots in medieval European grimoires, with significant influences from German occultists like Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa (a 16th-century German scholar whose Three Books of Occult Philosophy shaped many magical texts). These ideas spread to America via 17th- and 18th-century German immigrants (e.g., Pennsylvania Dutch communities), who brought folk magic traditions including books like John George Hohman's Pow-Wows; or, Long Lost Friend (1820), a German-American grimoire with charms and rituals.

i learned a lot about the early life in the US. they did a lot of reading, and were susceptible to lots of superstitions. and even though such books (like the Woo-woo ones that influenced the people around joseph smith and his father) were published only sometimes 2 or 3 years prior, copies seemed to make their way into remote towns/villages.

i see this as a parallel vein of US history, the other being all the masonic and jewish influence happening in the south and in Virginia

all the people who persecuted mormons after they got going were really just the equivalent of modern day country-music singing, drunk, bible thumping retards of the flyover states.

in a way, i'm glad mormonism helped forge the wild west, and not protestantism/baptist/amish crap. (i don't see the amish forming badass militias and massacring groups of Indians, or populating the first town in the desert).

interdasting.
Here's my own theory why JS founded his "religion":

Religious cults usually, like 99% of the time, arise as grifting vehicles and the successful ones are the result of a very serendipitous constellation of the right herd, connections, money and so on, combined with one or several charismatic frontmen.
Grifting here not only means money, it ususally starts with social prestige and sexual access- really lots of access.

I found out at some point that JS fathered no kids. In other words, he was sterile.
My guess is he subconsciously went into sexmania mode in order to finally spread his genes, with all those religious rules as an addendum. Mormons at that point were sharing and ravaging through teen poon like an otaku who's into One Piece and only has one afternoon at the local library to finish all tankobon.

thanks. can't sleep anyway.

>deep doctrine
um... mormon missionaries think they can literally click their heels together to "dust" their feet on a rival church, and that will somehow curse it to imminent destruction. this came from the same practice of pious Jews during New Testament times.

mormons hold similar views as jews to "gentiles" aka "goy". however, it comes from a much less of a "we're god's chosen and goy are there to serve us" attitude.

think of deep doctrine is like official unofficial mormon lore, that if you ask them, they will say is not doctrine. most of it comes from either something in history (like all the joseph smith occult stuff) or something in the early mormon church history that, when taken to a rational conclusion, leads to some sort of weird-but-not-really-if-you-think-about-it piece of doctrine. like having a heavenly father ... implies you have a heavenly mother.

I'll gladly watch later but you know I'm probably already ahead of the narrative.
From a revisionist perspective which unravels the chrono mess, the (real) timeline is as follows:
>the Roman empire, whatever that was, ends circa a thousand years ago
>the syncretic, half Germanic/Viking culture of Byzantium is the real "ancient" Greece
>Ptolemaios and Plato et al are all Byzantine thinkers publishing their great works like it was customary back then, under pseudonyms and under the cover of "ancient wisdom"
>similarly the many enigmata of Pagan persistance is solved
>at some point shortly before the renaissance, christianity is finally triumphant, Paganism regroups into esotericism; esoteric content overwhelms the new dominant state religion of J-C.

Cards enter history surprisingly late in the 14th century. But without Paganism still enjoying some momentum, there is nothing to fill the gap.
Astrology is a branch of practical Paganism, christianity immediately fucked it up with their retarded idea of devils spreading bad vibes from behind the planets. However, the way to heliocentric thinking was harder than most people assume, some math problems were indeed too much for the "ancient" world at first.

Threadly reminder that Mormonism isn't a cult, it's cleverly designed to present a false gospel to "fatigue" people out of faith. Once you've been in for a number of years and finally realized all the contradictions like -

>Joseph Smith writing a short letter to Brigham Young in old english language in the year 1830 and this being considered "divinely inspired" that it was put into a Mormon holy book Doctrine & Covenants (D&C 126 i believe)

You'll be so upset, so defeated at yourself that you'll reject all religion, at least for awhile. Thanks Satan.

If I spoke to you on the phone, I could ask if you hear me, and I could also ask if you can hear my voice, because your voice/words and you are the same thing yet distinct different things at the same time. When a person dies, even an atheist has to admit that something is no longer present in the body - a life force, a spirit.

You yourself as a human being are an image of God, which isn't just a throwaway line in Genesis. You yourself as a limited finite human are a 3-in-1 being. You comprehend this every day of your life without realizing it, why do you have trouble comprehending this about God?

Sorry that you're wrong. it's not brainwashing, otherwise the CIA would be filled with blue jean christians instead of catholics. it's the mormon's sense of duty and reverence/obedience, but mostly because they don't use any drugs or alcohol.

Problem with them linking dark skin to a curse is these people have spent the last half century indoctrinating niggers into their cult and bringing them here as refugees. In fact they are required to go to some black shithole 3rd world country as part of mission work. The whole religion is a psyop for globalism. Essentially the left hand of evangelical scum supporting zionism. Two of the most brainwashable groups being the good little foot soldiers for their own displacement programs

actual mormon lore:

>lucifer wanted to force

> 1/3 went with lucifer = fallen angels = demons
> 1/3 went <shrug> = niggers = have to do extra work on earth
>>
>>517464616
And what does that have to do with every Mormon teenager going on mission work to bring niggers here? I've met many Mormons. They all do that bullshit and love it. They love bringing their little token blacks here
>>
>>517464586
go back to sleep, goy. you still have some time before you have to drive your silverado drunk to the strip mall or mega church for another good ol midwestern brainwashing before driving to panera, then home to watch niggerball until you go to your shitty electrician job tomorrow
>>
>>517464690
>can't read between lines.
fuck. why am i even helping you?

they obviously view all 3/3 as children of god. this lore allows them to feel superior to niggers and still have it mesh. unlike good ol southern racism that view niggers as animals

You're full of shit, that's what you are. The language of ancient artifacts and byzantine greek are different. Why the fuck would byzantines write in archaic greek instead of their own scholarly greek? We also have countless vases and artifacts from ancient greeks depicting scenes or relevant cultural elements from the writings we have, since ancient ships and tombs were found later. The Romans also extensively talked about greeks and their thinkers. Hell, when christianity spread the NEO-platonists syncretized with its doctrine, since christianity hellenized the monotheistic religion, making it accessible to civilization as opposed to desertic semites. You can't just invent your own timelines without strong evidence. More importantly the ancient greek texts we get are distinctly pre-christian. When you pick Socratic writings you get extremely hellenic platonic thought (since Plato wrote them) contained within.
Granted, i'd love to believe what you're spewing, as it would explain some things, but you can't contradict all the evidence.

1453 comes later than cards or "Ptolemy's" Almagest. I'm not entirely sure to what degree Byzantine scholars swamped Italian cities, I've never done the research. It is likely they did influence post Renaissance literature, although not Italian letters, which for many revisionists, yours truly included, is what's responsible for kickstarting European literary evolution properly.

I'll definitely grant you the development of Tarot as probably being influenced by the Ottoman conquest.

Maybe it's lost in translation, but Hans, are you saying you believe in Tarot cards?

My only interaction with the occult is when I watch esoteric ASMR to sleep.

I'm convinced ASMR tingles is what everyone through history perceived as magic/spirit/correctness/healing/god/powers... and we just developed different kinds of LARPing around it, based on the local environment, plagues, harvests, famines, and such

You're sorely mistaken but that's okay.
It's well known that the Greek language is obviously mysterious and unique in its ability to resist change. Misdating artifacts works wonders for a queer timeline. But the model cannot explain numerous mysteries and has to continually elevate "ancient" Greeks to out of place geniuses.
>ancient ships and tombs were found later
again,
>let's look for the ancient city of Anonopolis, *digdigdig*, at some point something is found which is by definition ancient, chronology upheld!
>Romans also extensively talked about greeks and their thinkers
They sure did. But when did they live, and what were they really talking about (for instance, why would they continue to name themselves Romanoi, then change back to Hellenes and back again?) and how can we be sure it wasn't mostly fabrications? Why are you content with creationist models laying out your own history for you? Do you deny dinosaurs as well?

We think the most ancient Romans were semi-illiterate, just like the real, ancient Greeks. The idea of an upper crust of formerly raiders transitioning into toga and poetry enjoyers taken at face value is outlandish and has no basis in reality if we compare it with other cultures.

>NEO-platonists syncretized with its doctrine, since christianity hellenized the monotheistic religion,
The revisionist timeline makes much more sense than Greeks doing everything in isolation, then forgetting everything, then enjoying a big Hellenist renaissance where all thinkers conveniently find exactly what they were preaching all along after an over 1000 year old cultural sleep.
This idea alone should be seen as outrageous. Look at this moronic genealogy:
>"Pletho" (the real genius) stumbling upon Plotinus who in turn found Plato with 1800(!!!) years in between.
>>
>>517453642

>>
>>517467215
>the Greek language is obviously mysterious and unique in its ability to resist change
You're making up stuff. I studied greek. It's the exact opposite of a language that "resists change". It's extremely plastic. We have greek philosophy also BECAUSE of how easy it is to create new concepts in Greek. Easier than even english. Even at the time of the ancients, there were multiple variants and dialects of greek, and greek itself evolved multiple times. When they were reading Homer in the time of Plato, they were already reading an older, archaic type of greek, just like today we'd read shakespeare, and treated it as such a literary classic as well.

> let's look for the ancient city of Anonopolis, *digdigdig*, at some point something is found which is by definition ancient, chronology upheld!
They dug in Troy and found multiple layers of the city. The area was inhabited through the Byzantine period, but there was no city there in any accounts from Byzantium. It's a huge classic age city (for the time) with multiple sets of walls, just like in the stories. Likewise in many others. You can sample the dirt between bricks in Mykene and get a Carbon 14 date.

> We think the most ancient Romans were semi-illiterate, just like the real, ancient Greeks. The idea of an upper crust of formerly raiders transitioning into toga and poetry enjoyers taken at face value is outlandish and has no basis in reality if we compare it with other cultures.

There was no sudden transition. Rome started as a despotic, militaristic monarchy where leadership needed force to maintain power. Little more than a tribe. As they were successful due to their culture and strategic advantage, they expanded. With wealth, came the togas. Greece wasn't different. Crete and Mykene and Miletus were all great and opulent long before Greece and Athens became relevant.
Sparta needed its own brand of militarism to avoid "softening" like Athens did despite opulence.

>pletho
Platonism never died out.
