As a result the country just kept on going like that until the collapse of the USSR. All Moldovans had to do was farm, sell its produce to Moscow, and then got a bunch of machinery in return. Then it all fell apart and country became impoverished as well as Transnistria which was again the only industrialized part split off. Moldova is also landlocked because of greedy hohols holding Budjak since Khurshchev fucked Moldova same way he did to Russia with Crimea. So they could never properly sell there produce to far away markets like China which is why it's still impoverished. The East West politics stuff just keeps on going while people starve, the solution is obvious but it's already to late since have the country migrated it out and the rest that are left are either old, stupid, or to drunk to do anything.
