How can anyone defend late stage capitalism in 2025?
The word Capitalism has been abused out of coherence, these c-ism words are everything and they are nothing simultaneously, so by using it in a question to pin down any property, any answer to that group of questions becomes equally incoherent. Capitalism has no definition. It's a ball-of-everything word. It's like the bible, it says to do whatever you want it to say, and it says not to do all the stuff you don't want, and it does this all the time on every topic. That's not a communication word.
>socialism / communism = bad>capitalism / oligarchy = goodit's easy to understand OP. low IQ rightoids do it for free
>>517635704"Value" is economic grammar masquerading as a meaningful unit.20 fire hydrants equals one fireman; 30 fire hydrants equals one union fireman.Carnegie and Rockefeller were some of the greatest and most benevolent men who ever lived.
>>517635704Why do retards think that communism is the answer to any question? After the deaths of over 100 million people they still think it's a belief rooted in compassion. Mindless, deluded, Godless husks. And yes, taxation is theft. If you don't want to lose surplus value work for yourself.
Communists really are fucking stupid, holy shit.>Late stage capitalismNo, we have early-stage idiocracy.
>>517635704the surplus value is not just your labor, it's a combination of capital, machinery, know-how developed before you, etc.
>>517635704
>>517637820There's also a massive amount of cost that goes into whatever you produce. These people don't understand how economics, or corporate structure even works. Profit margins are slim, and that's what makes money for the owner. If the owner is obscenely wealthy, it's because his products are popular, not because he stole the worker's money. But what do you expect? These people are swine, and knowledge is just pearls cast before them.
>>517635704Yes, comrade. Give ALL money to state.
>>517636026Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production, distribution or exchange - it is characterized by the freedom of capitalist to operate their property for profit under competitive conditions. In order for the govt wants to do "good" it must first FORCE money out of your hand and paycheck. You need to pay some taxes. But not so tranny's can get a sex change. They can pay for that themselves. But you just keep playing nazi's vs jews - like cowboys and indians - it's ridiculous
>>517635704There's no other viable system. Also, if you hate the idea of your boss robbing you your produce or whatever, just rmemeber that no one forced you to work for that guy, you could have gitten any other job, you could have started your own company, or go independent. You firmed a contract in which you agreed to exchange work for money. Only a child would say it's unfair and then agree.
>>517635704In the wash tax dollars are easily 30+% here it's north of 50%
>>517637820Also the taxes part is way bigger lolAt least where I live if you take into account what the business pays in taxes for a worker, money that is NOT shown on the payslip and is NOT included in the gross pay, the full tax on a salary is around 50%I'm not libertarian because I hate corporate culture even more than governments, but I would rather not pay taxes to finance corruption and bullshit wars
>>517635704Ever heard of company tax? All that surplus value is being taxed as well... not to mention the tax paid by entrepreneurs on their income.
>>517639042I agree with in in principle, however, in the current system not everyone starts equally. So its not really fair to say "just start your own company" when Joe got an inheritance of 1B dollars and you spawn in a slum in Brazil. Either cull inheritance and trust fund babies from existence or create a level headed start for everyone in a form of a UBI, so you do actually get the funds to start a business. Then you can fairly say "don't bitch, just start your own factory". Its a utopian take but love playing the devil's advocate nonetheless.
>>517635704In classical economics, the means of production are as follows: land, labor and capital. Communism says that all 3 must belong to the state so they're 1/3 correct. Capitalism says that all 3 must be private so they're 2/3 correct. Georgism correctly recognizes that land (economic rent) must be public, while labor and capital must be private, which means they're 3/3 correct. Now, irl we don't have 100% pure systems, most systems are a mix. Georgism with 100% tax on LVT is just as unrealistic today as pure Communism. However, we can also conclude that a more Georgist economy is absolutely compatible with a (mostly) free market, i.e. capitalistic economy. The main difference is that such a state would mostly tax rent-seeking activities and negative externalities, while it would leave productive factors of production alone (mostly).
>>517635704You are free to extract maximum value from your own labour.Anyone can start their own business any time they want.Anyone can start a co-operative any time they want. Many have. Many do every year. Nothing is preventing you.Freedom is the nature of capitalism.
>>517639042>just rmemeber that no one forced you to work for that guyBorn into casino of rigged games.Only way to get food, water, housing is to do your best at the rigged casino games."Nobody forced you to play these"
>>517640498>You are free to extract maximum value from your own labour.Except that this takes capital. Banks can create capital for free; you have to borrow it.>Anyone can start their own business any time they want.Businesses are heavily regulated in nearly every country and have significant start up costs. And again, you need capital.>Anyone can start a co-operative any time they want.Same issues.>Many have. Many do every year. Nothing is preventing you.Significant financial and regulator obstacles stand in the way. We haven't even discussed taxes or byzantine legal systems that greatly further increase capital requirements due to insurance, etc.>Freedom is the nature of capitalism.Freedom is the nature of freedom. "Captialism" is just communism lite.
>>517635704How can you still be a socialist or believe such a dumb diagram in 2025?
>>517635704You forgot the lart where when ever people collectively work together to set up their alternative services, it's swiftly banned so it's a command economy and not a free market, but instead of helping the government, it just helps rich people bribe the government.
>>517636026I agree and disagree, but capitalism HAS/HAD a definition -- but leftists REFUSE to use it and just make up their own...Leading exactly to what you are talking about it. Humanity can't continue playing these emotionally-associative games of word-redefining during emotionally heated arguments. Nothing can get communicated that way and that's obviously the goal.
>>517635704If your labor creates so much value, then why don't you sell it directly instead of selling it to an employer? That way all the surplus value goes to you :)
Saying that profit is theft has a symmetry with saying that taxation is theft. Both refuse to acknowledge that life does not consist of discrete logic gates in which individuals are routinely asked whether or not they consent to every condition within a system. Also, a new system does not have to be created for that individual alone according to his or her response. Systems are selected for amongst the great majority of people through their decisions. The great majority of people have selected for taxation through their voting and political activity generally. People have selected for profit by preferring to work for and buy from companies that have a profit model. This is likely because businesses that invest in themselves become higher quality to such an extent that the investment allows for returns that generate better outcomes for workers and consumers. There is no low requiring a profit model.Similarly, taxes serve to accomplish that which is not appropriate for market activity.
>>517641072If labor is so valueless, why does every single corporation want to import a trillion jeets to get more of it?
>>517635704The average doctor in Cuba, Venezuela or North Korea makes 35 dollars a month. Are you a doctor commie annon? I'm going to assume you are not because you are wasting your time here, then the value of your labor is worth less than that. The rest is the "surplus value" added by the capitalist system that you got lucky to be born into.Feel free to go live in any of those commie paradises. You'll not be missed, as you are probably unskilled, unemployed and filled with resentment, like all commies.
>>517635704The circles are inverted. Taxation takes away most of the salary. Keynesians and socialists effectively are the ones stealing the surplus value of labor, not companies.
