Don't have a house yet? You missed out!
>>
>>517661992
Drop the mortgage rate to 2% then!!
>>
Can't wait for my property value to go back to normal so I dont have to pay twice as much tax. Extra benefit is more people can buy homes. Extra extra benefit to a crash would tank black rock
>>

>>
>>517661992
Bought my house in 2019 with a 2.5% rate. I pay a considerable amount less than renting, which is really fucked up
>>
>>517661992
It's strange to think that if my parents and grandparents didn't die while I was young I would've never gotten my house, they would've thrown me out at eighteen and sold it for some money to spend when they're decrepit.
>>
>>517662173
The price of the house would jump another +30% if that happens.

You either need to leave your area or get lucky. I was the latter. But if I wasn't, I'd be buying fallow land somewhere and building a homestead and doing whatever work made that possible.
>>
>>517661992
i don't really see what the big deal is, maybe you should have just bought a house five years ago. My property value has gone up so much that I'm actually hoping prices stay high
>>
>>517661992
nonsense, all you have to do is marry a rich man and divorce him. instant house, no need to work
>>
>>517662517
if you're not planning to sell then aren't you paying more in property tax with no real benefit to you?
>>
>>517662428
Did you get the house outright? My grandmother passed my parents offered to sell the house to me but I realized even if I were given the house I couldn't afford the taxes and upkeep.
>>
>>517662621
it's a small price to pay to keep property values high and ensure my neighborhood doesn't turn into a slum. besides, my net worth on paper makes me feel good

We used to think this would be over when boomers died but companies like Blackrock are swooping in to buy all the property. it's like planting a tree or growing your hair. the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. the best time to start growing your hair long was 3 years ago. the next best time is now. same with homes. the nature of people's lives, even beyond job and money is timing, location, and other extenuating circumstances. no sense beating yourself up. the past is gone. what are you going to do today? start yourself on the path to buying a home for you right now. all you have to contend with is time either to save, or wait out the market.
>>
>>517662844
yes, force people to loan money at below inflation - that will surely work out.

first need to get govt spending at a negative or the borrowed money we already borrowed will continue to be a boat anchor
>>
>>517662702
They all died pretty suddenly almost one after another so there wasn't time for an offer, I'm not entirely sure how it worked out since I was only 15 at the time and didn't handle it myself, but I do know that me and my brother now co-own the property. I already had a job and my brother does alright for himself so we've been able to afford all the extra that comes with ownership.

Most of these kids are just too spoiled rotten and way too financially illiterate to own a house. Would YOU want someone like that for a neighbor? Fuck those jack offs. They are are where they belong in life.
>>

haha no. you should try leveraging your assets instead of just seething in your rental
>>
>>517661992
I'm in my 30's and I bought my flat outright last year, in my area that would have made a good deposit on a house but I'd still be in a large mortgage for the next 40 years. Considering that my plan is to retire in 15-20 years, I don't see how it's possible for people to retire at a decent age and still own their own place, especially if they have kids.

How the fuck did we end up in a situation where globally it's just expected that you will not own your own place?

Anyone who doesn't support socialism at this point wants you to remain poor, remember that. They want you to think you can become a billionaire if the rules stay as they are, but you can't. It's statistically nearly impossible for you to become one. The surest path to any kind of wealth for almost everyone is to have it guaranteed by the state.
>>
>>517663359
The aristocracy never got over having their serfs taken away a few hundred years ago. The rich of today are doing everything possible to try to force people into de facto landed slavery by depriving them of the ability to actually own anything, thereby creating a new aristocracy that doesn't have to do fuck all to maintain its wealth.

>How the fuck did we end up in a situation where globally it's just expected that you will not own your own place?
Jewish investment firms drove up demand and prices, by using real estate as a long term holding option.

Jewish politicians drove up demand by importing shitskins to keep stocks rising through cheap labor.

Jews drove your salaries down by sinking the titanic, eliminating the gold standard, and devaluing your labor by forcing you to compete globally in your own nation.
>>

>How the fuck did we end up in a situation where globally it's just expected that you will not own your own place?

It's literally the same scheme as any investment - it's all a psyop. As long as someone with enough money thinks they can, in turn, find someone willing to pay even more for it, they'll buy it. And because they spent so much on it in the first place, they won't drop the price just because it's hard to find a buyer, they'll just sit on it hoping to not lose out in the long term.

Only way housing will collapse is if people start losing their jobs in mass like a recession.

The industry in Canada is already tipping over since unemployment is going up and people can't afford housing and food
>>
>>517662375
Similar situation here. Renting comparable living space in a condo or apartment would cost 2x what my mortgage is for a stand alone house. Thank you, covid, for dropping the interest rate so low.
>>
>>517661992
The way to fix it is pretty fucking simple
National property taxes on second or "investment" properties of 10%/year of the nominal value of the real estate.
Zero taxes (including state taxes) on individual family homes owned by the sole occupier
>>
>>517665354
Wow anon you just raised rent by 10%, you're smart!
>>
>>517661992
Remember when the government conscripted all the unemployed men to build hoover dam? Whats stopping them from doing that but to build a bunch of single family homes to crash the housing market?

A couple of other things we could do is make it illegal for anyone but a human being to own single family homes and that you can only own two with the taxes on the second being tripled. Give it a year before the rules takes effect with MASSIVE fines for non-compliances and all the asset managers and landlords will flood the market in attempt to off load their now liabilities and the prices for homes will fall through the floor.

We could even do like the Nazis did and pay off portions of young married couples mortgages for each child they have.

All I am saying is that there are clear and easy policy solutions to the housing issue. The fact that its not fixed means it is intentional and manufactured by politicians and lobbyists.

>>
>>517662440
Why would you do that? The land is cheap because because there's no economic activity to participate in around it, not even farming.

That's just "becoming poor to own the libs".
>>
>>517661992
US homeownership rate has been consistently in the 60-70% range since the post WWII economic boom, meaning that there has always been about 1/3 of the population who are rentfags who are too poor to own the home they live in. Historically, pre-WWII, US homeownership rates were significantly lower, below 50%.
If you can't afford a home, it's not because there is something wrong or different about the economy now, it's because you have slipped far down the socioeconomic ladder without realizing it and are now one of the poorfags. Plenty of your peers are buying houses, because they aren't poorfag losers like you.
And no, the boomers aren't skewing the overall numbers. Gen X, Millennials, and Zoomers are becoming homeowners at comparable rates to the boomers when adjusted for age.
>>
>>517662375

For all of you anons who fantasize about living in some off the grid Uncle Ted 'stead, but don't have any money and can't get a mortgage here is the phrase you need to search for:
>unrestricted unimproved land for sale owner financing

It's all a scam. The people who set the market rates at the big banks work with the government and the treasury department to keep all that bullshit going. They literally went to the treasury and had them rewrite the mortgage law so people could refinance their homes which is the dumbest shit anyone could ever possibly do. Yeah, pay for your house twice so we can still take it. Shit makes no sense. Their making all that shit up as they go. You don't have to give up your house if you already payed for it once and if they tryda take don't let em and they can't do nothing because the law for them to take your house back doesn't even exist but normal, day to day people don't know that.

unironically and unfortunately, lower rates lead to higher house prices though. We saw it during the hoaxvirus years. It's a very shit situation, but you just dont want rates to drop that low -- you want the other shit to change.

Remember the hoaxvirus years? Goyim debtmaxxing with $1mil+ loans the banks were more than happy to dole out, and the sight-unseen everything-waived "cash" purchase FOMO bidding wars that are THE REASON housing is so high right now, cause what should cost $400K sold for $700K, which set the floor for the rest of the neighborhood and just got worse from there?

False in virtually every single housing market. A lateral move will, at best in the most fortuitous circumstance, have you break even.
The only way to make money is to move to a lower cost of living area or a smaller house in the same area; and even the latter isn't always feasible.

You're only as poor as the lifestyle you lead. And there are tons of places where you can find decent "economic activity" and undeveloped land, you just have to be willing to leave home and most people will never do that. I am one of those people which I why I'm thankful I got lucky when I did. But if my parents pass away anytime soon, I'm pulling up ASAP and moving somewhere cheaper and less populated.

I'm here to tell you that owning a home is not an investment. But it is a lifestyle choice. You need to decide if owning a home is a priority for you, or if you can tolerate renting in perpetuity.

You will never, ever get back at rich people through legislation or any sort of legal means. They control the legislation and the legal means

The economic truth is that we don't need banks at all. The treasury should issue interest free loans to first time home buyer citizens. Most people are so brainwashed they can't imagine a life or nation not predicated on paying interest to banks.

>issue infinity bux loans with infinity interest?
No this is what banks do, which I oppose. Banks serve private shareholders. The treasury is part of the government and constitutionally is the only entity that can issue currency. Remember, money is created by issuing loans. Banks create money for free, but you have to pay interest on it. The treasury should create the money supply as a free service to the citizens; that's supposed to be one of the primary reasons it exists. Instead, the government has outsourced their money supply to private banks, and we all have to pay them (the banks) through interest.

The default state of the housing market in America is for houses to be dirt cheap. Land is plentiful and they are relatively cheap to build here, so they are seen as a commodity more than a luxury. That's how it was in 2019.

COVID changed all of that, and now everyone wants to move and have a nice house where they can spend most of their time. The market naturally reflects that.

The thing is, houses are still affordable. America still has the cheapest housing in the world relative to income. You just have to spend a lot more of your income on one compared to before COVID when nobody cared and they were selling for peanuts.

Don't expect a big drop in home prices. They will eventually come down, but by that point nobody will care or be talking about it. That's when you have to buy stuff to get a good deal.

Better to live in a house already jointly owned by family members. No mortgage and it's about as much as a man can do legally to divorce proof the property. I "inherited" my grandparents house by being a dutiful son and paying my aging parents expenses while living with them to avoid paying rent to kikes. I live in it now and pay the property taxes and utilities as though it were mine while still helping my parents out financially. My parents still own the property and I will jointly own the property with my siblings ( who are already married and have their own homes) after they pass. My dad intentionally split it between us in his will so it's not easily lost in the case of my marriage and divorce and disincentivizes my siblings from trying to sell the house out from under me. The sale revenue would have to be split between all of us and not really amount to any of us getting much from it. ( my siblings and i all do well financially, the amount we would get would not really be worth our time) This way the house remains a collective family asset through the generations as my dad intends and this living arrangement works as the best gold digger roastie deterrent available. At the same time I technically have my own living space and maximize how economically attractive I can be to an honest woman, which is about as good as a man can do in these times. If that condemns me to being a lifelong bachelor so be it, I won't be any roastoid's fool. I'll date sluts short term and travel to fuck whores as needed. More whites need to start doing this again. Normalize having good relationships with your parents, have intergenerational households and pass down intergenerational wealth so you don't have to let kikes suck your blood just to have a roof over your head and a place to lay your head at night.

Imagine no AirBNB, No Landlords, No private equity being allowed to buy homes. It would put 2/3 of all houses onto the market. This is bullshit. This too, it has made investors support mass immigration just because it's good for them to sit on vacant homes that fall apart because land value goes through the roof.

This is totally unsustainable. And to be honest, it's making me really hate living here. This is hell. I am just supposed to work forever for nothing so some Chinese landlord can steal 80% of my income? Why the fuck does the government let this happen to us? Oh because property value going up means property taxes go up which incentivizes our broke ass government to keep it going. Just squeeze the peasants more so you can go more into debt to give money back to yourself. Fucking corrupt as hell at every level. They aren't making America great again or they would ban all business and foreign and investment home ownership. Citizen ownership only, and it must be owned by the resident. This would destroy home value quickly.

fuck them 40% overvalued. These houses are 90% overvalues, asbestos ridden shitboxes with failing everything. Most homes in the US need to be bulldozed. It's not worth shit.

INFLATION
FIXES
BOTH PROBLEMS
(On paper... Hahaha)

DEBT MAX NOW
THIS IS THE GREAT MELT UP

THAT ONE MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE IS A GOOD BUY BECAUSE THE DEBT WILL BE TOTALLY DEVALUED BEFORE THE MORTGAGE IS PAID OFF

I think. According to YouTube, this is the way America has escaped debt on the past and this time is no different. Inflation will hit. The value of debt will crash. The loss of wealth in your home will be disguised by the increase in nominal value... Nominal value rises but the real value decreases because money is worse less. Same will happen with stocks.

The real key is keeping your income rising with inflation which is a challenge. This is the end of cheap energy and a global collapse. The pyramid scheme is over
