When I was in, everyone above E-6 and 0-4 were huge lardasses because they could skirt by for decades on medical waivers. The only thing they have to do is stop making XL, XXL, XXXL uniforms and the problem immediately goes away, and also saves the government money on materials costs, but they won’t ever do that because defense contractors will always headhunt retired colonels and generals to sit on their board of directors at Israeli weapons manufacturers.
