So apparently, as an American citizen, who was born in America, if I want to be granted the privilege of going anywhere by car or by plane (the only way to get anywhere outside of your immediate neighborhood since we don't have trains), I need to go to the DMV (How without a car? Fuck you figure it out asshole.) and wait an hour in line to present some government bureaucrat with my original birth certificate and social security card (Hope your parents are good at keeping records.) and then PAY them to print out a permission slip. (Because apparently the 30% of my income I pay in taxes doesn't already cover that.)However, if I was instead some random schmo from God-knows-where, I can apparently just waltz across the border into California or fly into New York, and they will immediately give a 40 ton tractor-trailer and let drive across the country with it. They don't even need to know my name.Land of the free, ladies and gentlemen.
