Despite promises of his departure, Jared Kushner is back in government, this time helping craft the current peace deal. The stinging humiliation of October 7th and the absence of what was hoped for following the Abraham Accords should've been enough to precipitate a retirement of Kushner's career of "public service". Not to be outdone is Tony Blair, another person I hope could only be motivated by a deep sense of shame towards finding whatever shred of redemption they could hope to find, and not the added money they hope to earn. They authored the plan, one which looks pretty good from the point of view of whatever remains of Hamas. It promises safe passage for those that remain and ensures the right to return, ultimately promising a permanent Arab presence in that region. It is why I'll say I think it's less likely to be accepted by the Israeli regime than by Hamas. May Kushner and Blair find their redemption and may the publics remove any obstacles to peace.
