Someone on Reddit had some involved theory about it being someone one of the fathers knew, which I guess is now completely wrong, but it seemed many already thought anyway that those other boys were railroaded. There was another one in Austin about a girl that went to a car wash at night, but I can't remember if they found her killer. And then there was the servant girl murder way back, which some think was similar to Jack the Ripper. I think the servant girl murder was the one that made the city put in streetlights. And, you can still see the bullet holes if you go up in the UT tower, but supposedly the student guides are told not to say anything about that shooting. I went up there and looked down at people down below and thought about what that killer was seeing and thinking. You have to go through metal detectors nowadays to get up there.
