Microsoft will roll a new Windows 11 version on 1st Octoberhttps://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-11-2025-update-25h2-is-now-available-heres-whats-new/Microsoft began rolling out Windows 11 version 25H2 today, delivering the annual update as a compact enablement package to users who enable the "get the latest updates as soon as they're available" toggle in Windows Update. The company tested the release in its Windows Insider Release Preview ring during the previous month before the broader rollout.Version 25H2 shares its code base and servicing branch with the existing 24H2 release. Both versions will receive identical monthly feature updates going forward. The update removes PowerShell 2.0 and the Windows Management Instrumentation command-line tool to reduce the operating system's footprint. John Cable, vice president of program management for Windows servicing and delivery, said the release includes advancements in build and runtime vulnerability detection paired with AI-assisted secure coding. Microsoft designed the version to address security threats under its security development lifecycle policy requirements. The company plans to expand availability over the coming months and will document known compatibility issues on its Windows release health hub. Devices with detected application or driver incompatibilities will receive safeguard holds that delay the update until resolution.

>>517685863I haven't used windoze in years. (Decades even.) I even quit installing it and maintaining it for my clients. I'll recover their data for them when it crashes but that's about it.
>>5176858631. Why are you, a Finn, always posting about this dogshit company/OS?2. How is W11 sill a buggy pile of shit and the forced turnover is in like >2 weeks?3. I hate the waterfall method so much it's unreal.
>>517686636I switch from 10 to 11 a couple months ago. I haven't had any issues with it. I even built a custom iso to strip out a lot of the bloat.
>>517686834>I even built a custom iso to strip out a lot of the bloat.Nice, but you shouldn't have to do that. I'm just concerned about being forced into something that's not even half baked.
>>517686982True, but since support for 10 is ending, there's not much choice. Once you strip out the bloat and change some settings though, it's a lot like 10. And some features are actually nice, like windows explorer and notepad having tabs.
>>517685863More pajeetware.Isn't "25" one of the freemason numbers for death or something?
>>517685863I built a HTTPS MS-DOS v4.00 (it's open source now) that allows me to shit post on 4chan.
