If you just look back at football 25 years ago, it was nothing like this. They start kids on special operations warrior training in the 8th grade these days. The level and intensity of the competition is sapping all the fun from the game. It’s like a slick, mechanized production these days rather than a game. Most of all, these are supposed to be scholar/athletes, and they are very obviously not scholars in the least. College football is nothing but minor league pro ball at this point. I miss the fun.
