There are basically two reason why we have a prison system.1.) Is to give justice to victims in order to stop the cycle of revenge.2.) Is to hold people who are dangerous to society so that they cannot harm others. I do think people deserve a second chance. I can even see situations where someone young should be let out of juvenile prison when they come of age no matter what crime they committed. At some point though if a person is committing dozens of crimes, many of which are violent in their nature, why wouldn't you just hold that person in a prison cell to protect the public? The Chinese are brutal and will just shoot the criminal and bury their body all in the span of a few days. We don't have to go to that extreme but we need to do something.
