That night, he wrote in his diary asking God to forgive "any of the people on this island who try to kill me, and especially forgive them if they succeed." Also, Jesus even said, "Sell your cloak and buy a sword". Just because you're carrying the gospel doesn't mean you give up your right to self defense and " let yourself be martyred ".
