Russia is now the most sanctioned country in the world. What is it like to live under a war economy?
China has already begun preparing for a Taiwan conflict, with the government bracing for severe economic recession caused by sanctions.
>>
>>518011851
Most of Russia doesn't even notice it. Most of Ukraine is living like there is no war. Real life is not like the movies where every factory is making tanks and bombs, lol.
>>
>>518011851
>What is it like to live under a war economy?

it's not a war economy. Russians in general barely notice much change.
>>
>>518011851
>China has already begun preparing for a Taiwan conflict, with the government bracing for severe economic recession caused by sanctions.

you think faggot sanctions from the likes of the US or EU would cause a problem for China?
>>
>>518011851
They don't live in a war economy. It's not commanded by the state, it's as normal. That's because the regime is afraid of abusing the population for too long.

Right now, their prices are going all over the place, they get staple foods and gasoline shortages due to strikes and sanctions. Until now most Russians lived normal, but the economy cools since 2nd year of the war and overall it's not great. Coupled with the other shit, we'll see how their public opinion shifts soon. A lot of putin super-fans are the soviet boomers. Those people aren't tough like the ww2 generation or anything like that. IMO they'll start crying-shitting easily and tantruming at the worsening conditions.
>>
>>518012003
Pretty much every Ukrainian at this point has a family member that’s been killed as a result of the war. Meanwhile Russians are suffering high inflation and import costs

Is this the cope in le liberal democracies for losing against Italy with nukes?
>>
>>518012250
gryka, potatoes etc. It has a lot to do with seeds not getting bought from Netherlands. Also tractor parts etc etc

They're not wiped out of the market, but the prices are hiked on one end and on the other the warehouses and farmers are told to not hike anymore, which will result in various market pathologies.

potatoes going 4x price is a problem for a boomer pensioner.
>>
>>518012220
>A naval blockade would wreck China
This is why the Chinese government has partnered with Russia to open the Arctic shipping route—China's export-driven economy relies heavily on the transportation sector.

Electronics and other expensive things are as expensive as ever but you can easily find whatever you want regardless of the producing country

Russia is single handedly holding Ukraine and 42 countries with the small help of North Korea (couple of troops and shells) and Iran (couple of shaheh-136).
Remember after 6 months of war when there were plenty of articles claiming Russia was running out of ammunition? That is a clear example of war-time propaganda. There are not running out of anything. Their country is so big they have access to all materials and their neighbouring countries keep buying their oil.
Russia also has the best missile technology, they are the one that sent the ISS into orbit using the Zarya protonrocket, oreshnik and the Zhinkal hypersonic missile was used during that conflict, we even have videos to prove it.

>10% or even 20% hike on basic goods is nothing for you
My earnings went up at least 30% as I am now working with sanctions law.
Lower class now has the option to profit massively from war effort, either by going to contract or working for defence ministry.
I won't go to the factory and I have much to lose, so all these opportunities naturally pass over me.
>>
>>518013866
>Every zoomer here can speak English, it's an easy language.
You have a really bad grasp on statistics, anon. English speaking zoomers ARE less than 10% of your country.
>>
>>518011851
Our govt has been dumping their savings into the war for all this time.
As a result, the economy got overheated — people got money and therefore demand, but supply was not able to catch up because of sanctions, so prices had been also going up.
So for a while we had 20% interest rates to cool the economy — it was motivating people to save instead of spending.
Recently the interest has been slowly declining (at ~15% atm), and now it's considered more or less stable.
Overall wages and prices got increased by the same rate, however the more sanctioned and irreplaceable the good is, the more it costs.

>>518011851
The Russian economy is not a war economy. It's a normal civilian consumer economy with a few state-owned corporations in the arms manufacturing sector, which don't even enjoy special resource access privileges. Russia is freely trading with almost all of Asia, where the center of the world economy and the majority of the global Great Powers is located. The sanctions regime is located on the fringe of the world economy, North America and Europe, and has basically only one Great Power, the US of A. All the other countries who sanction Russia are either minor nations like the UK and Germany, or insignificant small satellites like Lithuania, Canada, Australia.

To be clear: I am not saying only 10% of people living in the Russian Federation can speak basic english.
I am saying the anons I responded to in this thread are clearly in the top 10% internationally connected of their country. Speaking basic english is not the same as discussing abstract ideas on 4ch.
If we remove the zoomer attribute I would say its about 25% of people living in Russia right now are capable of this particular discussion.

The inflation-adjusted real wages in Russia are growing by 5+% per year. The sanctions-related market disruptions and import price spikes lie almost four years in the past, there's not much left of them. Russia is mostly self-sufficient resource-wise, the foreign trade is a relatively small part of the Russian economy. And what can EU and US even produce that China cannot deliver cheaper and in higher quality?
This entire war has proven how weak and unimpressive the western sanctions weapon has become. Everyone buys Russian commodities. While nobody in Russia buys European products anymore.

Your average polytechnical education is still leagues better than in Germany. Everything went to the dogs here with the so-called "reunification" and the introduction of the West German model to all of Germany. >>
>>518016389
They're continuously updating it, the shit is scary.
When a detection is made, human officer has to make a case AGAINST it if he doesn't want to put it in action.
Naturally, no one wants to argue with an AI.
Courts see the telltale AI-generated proof models (A1 printout, quite telling) and very rarely read the defense points, if at all.
So, the money and brainpower starts to be invested into grey schemes, which, in turn, pushes the Tax to invest more

Sanctions basically boosted Russian industry (because before they out-competed Russian companies), so sanctioning Russia was the most stupid decision in human history. You literally gave Russian companies low-competing market that they filled pretty fast.

A guy living in a village somewhere making his own alcohol, buys food at a local market etc.
my gfs family is Romanian and their family lives in a town not far from the ukraine border and they drink homemade wine, homemade spirits, drink milf from a pan. Like it came straight from the cow. And buy everything locally.
Most of Western Europe can’t comprehend this as locally made stuff to us is more of a luxury.

Russia is underdeveloped everywhere outside of the two main cities. You don't even need to go more than a few minutes from moscow's center to see all the backwards poverty. Something like 90% of russia's population doesn't even have access to indoor plumbing.

>seeds not getting bought from Netherlands.
Which is going to result in some small potato blight, etc.
>Farm equipment
First you borrow stuff from you neighbor
Then you get the local fixer to start doing weld repairs
At worst you start making bootleg parts

What that means, is that its not a problem until you have supply chain problems with getting more material and fuel.
Etc

So I don't think any of that is likely. Its fairytales, even more so when you have the fertility and land to potentially be a big net exporter.
What is more likely is:
1. Enough oil refineries is bombed
2. ACTUAL fuel shortage, which hasn't happened yet. Queues are just demand side, yet
3.. Piotr has to ration Gasoline, while the farmers get as much as they like
But what makes this complicated is that Russia is a bunch of tier 1 city states, and some land. The city states is the last to receive tapped resources, while the farmers & miners & driillers might experience rationing long before they are needed

Economy 3.0
Self-aware autonomous corporations who spawn a swarm of subsidiaries, shell corps and non-profit charities all over the world, channel their capital through all of them and then dissolve them again, all in less than a second. Those corps will have taken full control over the world's resources before the legislatosaurus even realizes they exist.

Tanks were designed with the idea that enemy fire comes from the front. They're really good at taking hits from the front. Autonomous drones that can freely choose their attack vector are the end of traditional tanks. You cannot just slap armor on all sides. Too heavy to use civilian bridges and roads, logistical nightmare.

Not good. Rich get riched, poor going bankrupt. From 2020 to 2025 median prices got 160% up. Beer was 1$ per bottle and now its 2,5$, chips (crisps) were 1$ and now its 3$. Petrol was 0,5$ per liter and now its 1,5$. Games in steam blocked, prices got up by 400%. Feeling bad.

To secure their western flank. Look at the geography of that region, the choke point is at the Carpathian mountains, after that it's all plains. Russia needs its borders there to feel safe. Ukraine as a NATO country would be game over. Finland has nothing if strategic value to them.

### Fact-Check Overview
The claim that most in Russia and Ukraine barely notice the war, with no major industrial shifts, is largely false. Evidence from diverse sources shows significant disruptions.

### Russia
Many Russians feel economic strain: inflation up 15-50% on basics, shortages, reduced goods (20% less variety), no savings for 38%, high debt. Drone attacks cause fuel shortages, airport closures. Over half report life worsening; 41% say invasion hurt daily life. Economy militarized: defense sustains factories, including civilian ones.

### Ukraine
Daily life disrupted by raids, strikes: 42K+ civilian casualties (up 40% in 2025), 11M displaced, hunger crisis. Business closures, job scarcity, inflation, aid dependency. No transport in cities, remote schooling, mined areas. Defense production surged amid industrial decline.

### Verdict
Statement minimizes impacts; war affects economies, lives broadly. Balanced sources (Western, Russian, Ukrainian) confirm this. - Grok

Look up what visceral fat is. With that diet, you will have a fatty liver like an alcoholic and a protruding prediabetes fatbelly like a retard when you hit the mid 30's. You should cut down on the carbs. Fruit instead of fruit juice, full grain bread instead of white bread, green leaf vegetables instead of rice, no refined sugar at all. The cheese is okay. Add more meat for fat and protein. Sugar is ultra-cheap pleb slop. Avoid.
