It is always changing in small and large ways. This is true of plants, animals etc. Now I realize if your property was small, and you had never spent time in a large woodland year after year your conception of the natural world and it's various processes might be pretty limited, and you might struggle to understand natural cycles, variables, and small and large changes in the natural woodland equilibriums over time.
