Why, yes. I am quite happy, indeed. The only reason why ANY American cares about the holocaust is because it is mandated to be taught about in the public school curriculum from about the time you enter the 7th or 8th grade. Impressionable teenagers are shown these repulsive images, and it gets ingrained in their minds, that whitey did something so terrible to a group of people, the jews. Yes, that isn't to say it was sunshine and rainbows, nobody believes that either. However, what was witnessed in the holocaust were simply war-time accommodations. The jews didn't have to fight, their children were not taken from them to fight on the front lines, they were placed in internment camps to do work. Yes, there were cases of mistreatment as there are to people in any war, but it was mostly humane, and the best that Germany could afford at the time under those circumstances. For jews to take this nearly 100-year-old event and equate their entire identity to it, is incredibly scandalous and counterintuitive to what they wish to accomplish. If anything, for their BENEFIT the holocaust should be questioned, scrutinized, and ultimately, dis-proven.
