So the civi's only advantage over the military is range, the .277 greatly reduces this advantage. 5.56 doesn't give as accurate shooting out that far, and you have way more issues with wind that the average. 308 or 6.5cm. .277 is just as good or better, and their 1-8lpvo tells you the hold you need to make for different distances, so you can quickly return accurate fire at 600-800yd with your biggest issues being windy days or inherent inaccuracy of the rifle. Which is still as accurate as most hunting rifles.
