I honestly believe we need to implement laws that legally require a Rent Lock Contract. Whatever the rent is when you first sign the lease/agreement... it stays that way. No raising. It's not price controlling to do that, this should be the free market option. They do this in other industries... housing needs to be same. They can charge whatever price they want, but they have to lock that price when you move in and shouldn't be legally allowed to raise it.... unless they provide more space, like adding another room or merging with another unit.
