The people who built the modern Western world order just assumed that these yokel scum were like them, that they could adapt, that they wanted to adapt at all, or aspire to anything greater. After Capitalism "won" that goal was tossed to the side and the extra people were deemed unnecessary. The rest is a predictable downturn where we find ourselves today.I personally look forward to it- every time I see an entitled snowflake declare that they are integral to the system I have to wonder how many participation awards they were given.
It's not about the sad individuals, it's the environment that rewards shocking takes.
