Have any of you volunteered at a food bank? What's it like? Do you have to serve customers or do they need stockers/organizers and other positions?

I’ve gone to a food bank once. I was broke and had no food. I parked, walked in, waited in line, and was given two bags of groceries of random food. No questions, no ids, just here’s two bags have a good day. The food consisted of bread, veggies, canned goods, doughnuts, and some cheese and chicken. Everything off brand or expiring in the next week or so. My guilt and shame before going was terrible but actually going there wasn’t bad at all.
