That guy is getting out of prison next year and will be back in society to murder someone else. You have to try to get thrown in prison. Police also turn a blind eye to a lot of crime. They could rack up charges on people who are known miscreants but they don't. I understand giving people some grace, but some of these people need some type of reformation.
