Man was originally given paradise, but he chose to disobey God and fell from grace, as did his lineage. In order to redeem man, God became man, bypassing man’s lineage through immaculate conception and therefore the inherent condemnation, lived a sinless life and was judged as a substitute for the sins of all mankind on the cross at Calvary. This act provided an avenue to eternal relationship with God in paradise by simply believing in Him who accomplished the act and what it achieved, i.e. salvation. Anyone at anytime can believe and it takes no merit, which is tantamount to grace.
