Just finished the Ed Gein series and realized the lampshade lie inspired Ed to make his own lampshade. Gein then inspired countless other killers and troons. It's a good example of how wartime atrocity propaganda can be dangerous even to future generations. No independent, third-party scientific proof exists that any object from the Nazi camps lampshade, book, or otherwise was conclusively made from human skin and verifiably dated to that period.Every claim comes from either Allied military findings, museum staff within countries that were part of the Allied side, or later internal tests that were not published in peer-reviewed journals.None of those findings have been reproduced or verified by neutral forensic labs with open methodology and chain-of-custody transparency.
