Collecting data is orders of magnitude cheaper than analyzing it

the AI hypemen say something else tho

analyze these nuts

My hypothesis is: thats one of the reasons for the current AI hype. The data centers are needed for warfare and mass surveillance.

This is why i give and recommend all agencies collect, all the data they can about me. If I could on /pol/ i would dox myself right now.

I want my JOHN HANCOCK in their database.

Those data centers are there to run this information, not to help the citizens.

Maybe. I like to think so. That the system becomes so informational that it becomes overwhelmed and basicly blind. But i also think that AI is gonna be much better than humans at this kinds of tasks and maybe with enough compute you could solve those problems. Havent decided on wich side of the question i fall yet. Im hopefull for the first and fearfull for the second.
