They wouldn’t, I remember a Cartoon Network short that had a similar premise but it was a girl spending time with a vampire. I think it got rejected as a show because they thought the premise was creepy. That was back in the early 2000s.

Beetlejuice was forced so hard. Really bad movie. The original script sounded better with BJ wanting to fuck and overall just being a menace. In the real movie he's barely in it and basically nothing happens. The cartoon and toys and whatever just reeked.
