I didn't know what was wrong so I spent a week with a multimeter looking at the issue, starting with the fuses, fuel pump, wires and such, then eventually googled some German website and figured out the immobilizer turns on if you have low voltage. Charged the battery overnight and it started just by touching the key. Good cars.
