>>519329841my father bought a roadrunner superbee in 1968, the engine overheated and seized on the way home. the dealer never put coolant in it.he brought it back and they ordered a new crate engine and radiator free of charge. they tried to blame him but the radiator cap was sealed with a "warrenty void if tampered with" thing and they couldn't do shit. he also probably threatened to kick everyone in there's ass, and would have.

>>519330663Most trucks aren't used for truck stuff. If you need a truck doing truck stuff you're blowing $40k minimum on an F450 diesel or equivalent and accepting the additional DEF cost. As proof, all base model F150s and comparable models use much, much, much shittier drivetrain components than larger variants even if they're diesel. What people save on the engine/transmission they pay extra for infotainment. The vast majority of people driving trucks and SUVs would be better off with a sedan, because truck stuff precludes a back seat and styleside bed. pic rel is a real work truckAmazon will make a lot of money from Slate because Ford and GM killed the Ranger and S10 regardless. Amazon and Musk are both exploiting huge market gaps that detriot trannies refuse to sell because it doesn't make them enough money. Benefits of direct user sales and direct lending.

I genuinely don't see any possible way this doesn't get ruled a lemon and dude gets all of his court and attorney fees paid by GM. Honestly the fact they're trying to jerk him around on this blatantly obvious point should warrant punitive damages.
>>519330956>I've heard of cars coming with transmissions that don't have parts so if anything goes wrong on it you have to get a new 10000 dollar transmissionThis is almost all automatic transmissions, but you're specifically thinking of the Nissan recall that destroyed thousands of black lives. Nissan knowingly installed bad trannies into their cars, and sold them to blacks at a discount. Which is why nobody buys Nissan anymore and why Nissan will pull out of America before 2030. This got Nissan into a lot of legal trouble in California too, since California's lemon laws require them to do a full refund if the vehicle can't pass a smog check.

>>519331463oh and guess who was responsible for all the low value adjustable rate nigger nissan loans
>>519330861they unironically cannot build these vehicles like the little toyota work trucks you used to see because they can't pass emissions. They rig the emissions standards so those small vehicles with little internal combustion engines can't pass, even though we know they aren't producing half the pollution that a big diesel truck like a dodge ram is.
>2025>buying amerishit
>>519331559but the logo stayed ononly thing niggers care about, and they're the ones signing up for the loan where GM makes most of their money now
>>519331518yup, the auto industry spends a lot of money lobbying for legislation and rigging the vehicle standards to prevent that from ever happening
>>519331145Why would I, as a consumer, want to buy a slate over an ICE truck? (aside from Toyota being retarded with their v6's)Cost? I'm not a truck guy, but here's some of its competition:>Small trucks like the 2025 Ford Maverick XL ($30k starting)ICE + hybrid drivetrain, good reliability apparently, can do basic truck stuff like towing a small 2,000lb load (4000lbs with an optional upgrade). This is what I imagine would be the Slate's stiffest competition. The Maverick will have much greater range (570 miles vs probably 150-240 miles for the Slate) and will actually be able to tow basic stuff like cars, jet-skis, etc. The Slate might be acceptable for driving around town and going to Home Depot down the street, but even if that's all you're doing with it, why would you buy a Slate over a Maverick at the same pricepoint?>Full-size trucks like a Ford F-150 / Silverado 1500 etc. ($40k starting)These are more expensive, but come with a 11k - 13k towing capacity. This is far beyond what any EV truck is capable of for any meaningful distance. If you want a truck for hauling heavier stuff, your only option is an ICE truck like this, and the pricepoint will probably match the long-range Slate which will only do 240 miles and no towing (it will probably tow a certain weight, but only for 50 miles before it runs out of charge)
>>519331547If you aren't cheating you aren't trying. See Europe getting their ass blown out due to diesel emissions a bit over a decade ago.

>>519331559God i wish that car were me.
>>519331547>>519330861For reference, look up the CAFE footprint rules. American manufacturers inserted a math formula that incentivizes building bigger trucks, because they know they can't compete with Japanese when it comes to efficiency and smaller trucks/cars. So smaller trucks are basically impossible to build, while larger trucks can be built normally. And since only American roads support large trucks, they have a dominant position in R&D with them.
Corruption and berocracy! We will have to build few useful models that are affordable. Right now in North America car industry is based on flip, new car and payments biger than a mortgage destroying Families. It's a major problem because here we need cars, it's a big place. So, we need to reform vehicles manufacturing and not make it just about jobs and profit and theft. We need a well built gasoline vehicle, brand new for 15K, we need to recycle materials and focus increasing labour there that will lack in manufacturing and sales... and give people the option to buy new vehicles every five years not every year... or at least recycle them sufficiently to sustain the flips for those who want a new one yearly. But that is luxery. We need to focus on Families, local reproduction, cheap properties and cheap reliable vehicles which provide Freedom aka Foundations.

Pro tip: get limited liabilty insurance for much less, but always take the 'uninsured motorist' coverage for ~10 dollars a month more. had a pontiac grand am a friend GAVE me. it came with a blown head gasket. poured in some 20 dollar goop shit occasionally and drove it for over a year before a nigger side swiped me. police saw it happen, and came to file a report. they gave me a totally fake insurance card, the police didn't run his registration i guess. still got paid. only 800 bucks for the clapped out POS, but it was free.

If people want something as reliable as it can get, buy a Toyota or a Lexus. Nothing beats them regardless.European cars, forget it. They are so far from what they used to be over here its embarassing.US cars I have very little experience with but I know you can get both very reliable ones and those not too reliable. Still I would say its a far better choice than European cars unless you dont mind everything from regulary visits or constant visits to the mechanic.I am sticking with my Toyotas. I bought a 2026 rav4 hybrid with less than 10k miles when I bought it. Since then it has passed 130k miles. And I have never had any issues with it. I have only replaced brake rotors and pads ONCE, and yearly oil changes. Thats it.I have a 1990 Toyota MR2 Turbo that I have had for 24 years. That car also I have never had any issues with. it has over 200k miles at this point. I replaced the Turbo and the head gasket on it, but the head gasket was not even needed to replace. I did it anyway. Entire cylinder wall was in great condition. I just wasted time in the garage working on it.My dad had a Volkswagen Tiguan he bought in 2012. He bought it brand new. He got rid of it after 80k miles. During those miles he had TWO engines replaced, and he sold it with a faulty transmission. Horrible car in every way.Buy Toyota or Lexus. I am going for a GX550 soon or a RX. Have not decided. Still, both seems good. Not too happy with the turbo since i prefere NA, but hell, who cares. Its for A to B anyway.
>not buying a fully depreciated used minivan, objectively the best vehicle type ever inventedwhy are NPCs like this? Why do they keep repeating the same mistake over and over again?
>>519331463CVT's are a plague and Nissan put way too much investment into them. Toyota at least combined CVT with their hybrid engine to make the e-CVT. Honda has also fully adopted CVTs now too and their Civics all have them. Nissan's regular transmissions are okay but people can't afford them.
>>519329841I love American cars. I have noticed some build quality issues in late model large SUVs which, for the sticker price, should be top quality fit, finish and materials. GMC/Chevy SUVs were fantastic from the late 90s through the beginning and of covid, but they do appear to be slipping a bit. On the other hand, I recently purchased a used Volvo SUV after 3 straight Chevys. I’m literally in love with this Volvo. This is an amazing vehicle and is SO well made. Every detail obsessed over. The tightest specs you can imagine. Simply brilliant engineering. Finest quality materials (very little rust after like 12 years in New England). Incredible performance…it no joke handles like a Porsche or S class Benz. The gearing ratios are ideal. Perfect ergonomics. A lot of people complain that they’re hard to work on. Not at all. If you’re high IQ, the Volvo design makes perfect sense and you can quickly start to anticipate what they have done to solve a given problem with component configuration. Hats off, Volvo. I am a loyal American, but I cannot help giving credit it is merited. The Volvo XC 90 4,4 V8 Sport edition is one of the finest automobiles I’ve ever driven. I’d written Volvo off as a grandpa go slow many years ago.If you guys can find one of the V8 models with the dual exhaust, jump on it. But bot if you can’t work on cars. Volvos are very expensive to work on and your local yokel will refuse them. But if you do know your way around an engine and are bright, you will find yourself in awe of Swedish engineers. Even so, it would be hard for me to buy a brand new car that wasn’t American. On 2nd thought, I’m going to start being a globalist like they want, but in favor of my tribe — white people. My long held vision is to fuse all western white peoples all over the world into a single civilization. That’s how you do globalization and make a success of it. Pay attention, Jews. I’m trying to teach you something. Volvo it is!
>>519331559I could goon to this

This happens all the time to new cars. New Toyota engines blow up all the time they offer you a new car (12 month wait) or a new engine (no car for 6 months).
>>519332091We bought my wife an ev for this reason. She also doesn't buy bullshit goyslop at the gas station now
>>519333244Toyota trucks aside from the Hilux are not good right now. The Tundra has machining issues with the under powered V6 hybrid engine. They didn't do the engines right and they are breaking apart. Not to mention trying to push such a heavy truck with such a small engine isn't good. The Tacoma has the same problem in that Toyota axed the V6 Tacoma and put a turbo I4 hybrid in their new trucks which have the under power issue that the Tundra has. Tacoms also are made in Mexico and suffer from QC issues and are are way overpriced. Nissan weird enough has the Frontier which is actually good and GM is bringing back V6s in their Canyon and Colorado. Ford is focusing on the Maverick.
>>519333665sounds like i should buy american, as i did, btw no regrets
>>519333244Toyotas are indeed excellent cars, as are Hondas. And though I respect both brands, they lack a certain performance and robust command of the road that I look for in autos. That being said, I am a fan of certain Lexus models and the premium Toyota SUVs are among the best. I have never once thought of economy when looking for an automobile. But most people should and do. Only men who know how to work on cars are allowed to own real cars. Or people who can afford expensive mechanics.
My S-10 is doing just fine, AC compressor notwithstanding which finally died this year.

>>519332872Dealership could have easily fucked up and left fluid levels low or even empty when they relinquished custody of the vehicle. NEVER wait that initial interval to at least check your vehicle.
>>519332319an oil leak isn't going to stop your car from working. i drove cars with leaking valve covers for years with almost never having to add oil. the amount lost was so small. have a subaru right now that burns oil like a motherfucker, i put in a quart of oil every 300 miles. it burns oil so bad it clogged the catalytic converter. you know how i fixed that? i removed the cat, and knocked all the internals out with a piece of rebar and hammer and put it back on. works great!i'm not saying you have to do it my way. i'm just saying you would have saved almost all of the money you spent on payments.you only need to worry about fixing something when it breaks, or is obviously about to break. and it's almost always accessory parts. alternator, water pump, power steering pump, radiator hose, serpentine belt, battery. none of those things are very hard to replace and once you replace one of them you'll be blown away how easy it was, and you'll wonder why the hell a mechanic would charge you hundreds of dollars in labor to do it.it's really not hard to learn to diagnose simple things, or to fix them.
>>519333900Yea. You aren't missing much. Its a Tacoma with a slightly shorter body and a little more lift. The diesel is the seller and of course it doesn't have many features as 3rdies can't afford them. Head down to Mexico and you can find them.

>>519333734I have actually seen that there are issues regarding newer Toyotas and their engines. In my opinion I dont think that cars coming out from any car manufacturer today will ever be as reliable and good as many used to be before. I know there is a rule of thumb that for every litre of the engine, you should never have more than 100hp per litre. Always something below it. Why F1 cars usually break during laps or are useless after a lap. A lot of power in tiny engines. But I do believe that even tho there will most likely be "more" issues than before, I cant think of a better brand really than Toyota or Lexus.American manufacturers have had many models over the years that has been very solid and reliable. No one make better V8s than The US. V8s in Europe is just a countdown to credit card loans into oblivion. >>519333813I agree 110%. Very few models have a decent amount of power and lets be honest, they are in most cases (unless we talk about older Supras and NSX, S2000 etc, they are pretty damn boring. Its basically just A to B really and thats it. I love both Toyota and Lexus because of the lack of massive maintenance. I have worked on cars myself a lot. I have a garage with a lift and have done engine and transmission overhauling several times on other cars or some cars I have had, but when it comes to newer cars, its really just a big pain in the ass being as compact and tight everywhere.I dont have any experience on newer Lexus SUVs but they are comfy. I like the GX550 along with RX and same with LX. Same with the Sequoia, Land Cruiser and Highlander. But over here they sadly dont sell these models and if they do its gonna rack up to $200-$250k for one after taxes. I drove a Grand Highlander in The US from LA to Georgia. Did all the southern states and then on the way back to LA I drove up to Kansas and then CO, UT and then ended up on a hard 5 day alcohol trip at MGM Grand in Vegas lol. But the Highlander did its thing and I loved it.

>>519329841When I had my first job in high school back in 2007 I worked at Budget Rental Car at the Colorado Springs airport. I cleaned cars and drove them around from lot to lot. One night I was in a H2 rental, big ugly motherfucker. It was a specialty rental and some niggers just had it because I remember it smelling like hominy, musky ass, and Newports. I took it through the car wash with my Serbian or whatever co-worker. He was like a 50 year old Niko Bellic sorta retard and barely spoke English but he was a fun dude to work with. Anyways we’re both smoking while going through the car wash and I’m prairie dogging bad, waiting to spend the last hour of my shift in the bathroom. That’s when a big ass moth flies into my face, chasing the cherry on my cigarette. I dropped my cig in my lap, shit my pants, and hit the gas. We plunged forward and the little rotating fuzzy arm thing smashed the windshield, shattered glass everywhere, and hit him in the face. So I have this Soviet Yugoslav whatever the fuck guy screaming at me, glass everywhere, blood on his face, I’m getting soaking wet, cigarette burning a hole in my jeans, and I have a fresh load of hot shit in my underwear. I reversed, and then charged forward again because I’m a fucking 17 year old idiot. We get out alive. Luckily there are no cameras in the area. Niko Bellic is okay and we decide to park the thing in the rental lot ready for someone to rent. It’s got literal shit in the cloth seats and on the floor and the windshield has been destroyed. Anyways the car wash reminded me of this story so I thought I’d share.
>>519329841ummm, how did she get stuck in a car wash? how does an engine blow in a car wash when your sitting in neutral being pushed along? if the person wasn’t at fault, any dealership would replace the engine for free under warranty.
>>519334674Toyota had the right combination of engine and truck model. They went and totally threw it all out. Toyota Tundras with the V8s and Tacomas with the V6 were the best combos you could have and lasted almost 20 years. Then Toyota went all hybrid this and electric that and cut the engine down and add turbos. It's a mess. Of course there is also the prices too. GM and their femoid CEO wanted to push the I4 turbo in their Silverado/Sierra line of trucks because muh environment. Nothing better than watching a 4 banger try and pull a 3 ton truck around, no wonder you can get them for 30K.

>>519334674I’m impressed. My favorite Japanese sports car (and one I intend to own again someday as it was my first car purchased with money I earned as a teenager) is the Nissan 280 ZX. If you ever get a chance, put one of those puppies through its paces. It’s an impressive build for a maker with little to no sports car making experience. I liked it more than the later 300 ZX. That lil 280 was mint. I can’t speak for the automatic transmission, but the standard was a truly special lil car. Mine was champagne rose with the alloy wheels. That thing looked so sharp with white letter tires. I did also like the Supra. But I agree with your take, it lacked ‘personality’ for want of a better word. Have you driven one of those Volvo XV 90s with the V8? It’s one of the best naturally aspirated engines I’ve ever had. It had almost 330 horse power. I’m truly wowed by this thing. I love discovering it, too. I never suspected Volvo could build a car with this fype of performance and power. I have a 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible out in my driveway. I’ve got to figure out whether I want to keep up with that thing or give up on it. I’m m thinking of handing her off to someone else. I may get another classic sports car. And I’m considering one of those late 80s/early 90s Benz SLs. Or maybe a corvette. I dunno. Corvette has the incredible performance but not much on comfort. They are not long trip cars. lol I’m originally from the South. I have a song for you. You’ll get a kick outta this. I went to college in Mississippi. >>519335379Thank you!The 280 ZX is probably one of the most beautiful cars ever made from Japan. The car is stunning in my opinion. Extremely hard to come by today tho, especially over here. I am pretty sure they are very rare in The US also but I believe they would be in far better condition over there than what they are over here. Unless there are some collector or some that has kept the car indoor away from salt and stuff.I have driven XC90 many times. All type of models. I will say tho that sadly, they are not very reliable. Volvo used to make very good cars back in the days but today its sadly not the case and it has not been for a very long time. I have never owned one myself but I know people who do (plenty of them here) and they do sadly have to bring them to the mechanic way to often. Driving them tho is comfy and they are very good in the winter, especially if they put on some good winter tires. Both the XJS and the Corvettes are cars I love a lot. I am a big fan of any American Muscle cars really. They are one of a kind and I am amazed everytime I go to The US to see how many beautiful looking classic cars you have over there and how well maintained and taken care of they are. I would probably do a across The US in a older or newer Corvette regardless lol. I am one of those whos brain has been brainwashed by American films and driving a corvette through the the State of Texas and any southern state for me is just like a movie lol. I have a friend who live out in Palm Springs in CA and he has a 82 Corvette. And we drove that one late afternoon towards LA and had the sunset and everything passing through the desert landscape. I have a question. Are Subarus equipped with a governor that prevents them from going faster than 10 mph under the speed limit? I swear, every Boomerru up here is driven by someone who feels it’s virtuous to drive as slow as humanly possible. I’m a safe driver, but I believe driving very slow is discourteous. >>519337232Thank you my friend. It means a lot. I have a lot of memories from The US. I had an uncle who moved from Norway to The US back in the 60s. He joined the Air Force back then and had a son who later joined the Marines. So when I drove to Georgia from LA it was to visit him. He used to live in Kansas City in the same street as his dad. But when my uncle commited suicide he moved to GA. Was a lot of pain in that part of the family. My uncle, his daughter and his wife, all over the years commited suicide in the very same house. So my cousin eventually moved to GA (a small town called Thomasville) to get away from it. When I drove back to Kansas i visited my uncles grave that is in Leavenworth National Cemetery. My uncle had a Porsche 944 Turbo back when I was a kid. So he took me out for spins in that car very often in the summer when I went over there. For all my life I have loved going to The US. I go there almost once a year and spend about two months. And I have gained many friends that I honestly speak to daily. Either via messages or calls. And I can say that there is no place like The US. The best memories I have is from The US. Because it is one special place. I like Europe also, but The US is something very different. I would love moving over there. I went skiing both in Aspen Colorado and a place called Big Bear in CA (a few hour drive from LA)The south is amazing also. In all honesty I love all the states I have been in for different reasons. I have been to 21 states so far in my life and no matter where I go, I always meet great people. Everyone is welcoming and you are the best communicators in the world in my opinion. And anything can happen over there.I met this guy in Vegas at the bar. Guy was a photographer for Getty and lives in LA. We talked, became friends, and he took me to red carpets and stuff. That never happens over here. So The US is truly one amazing place. I hope that everyone who lives there will realize this sooner than later.

I'm not sure how could you tell as the body was the same 240/260/280.This was in time when US max speed was 55 MPH, so too many ticketsThe turbo was fun, but too many electronics, incl. a digital dash that stopped working. Alo niggers in LA kept stealing the T-Tops, and I had to buy them back (from them)Anyway, cheers
>Why can't we build a nice car in the US?Niggers, women, jews and, now, poojeets.
>>519338441based doer
>>519329841So happy for all of you!!!
>>519337247It's probably because some fuck head electrocuted himself years ago after trying to fix it, and won some settlement for being a moron.
>>519330241Next step is clearly this
>>519338521Not even. Home electrical is ridiculously simple, as are brakes even on newer cars. I only do shit that i know has a minimal headache factor. I don't fuck with stuff if I have to go to far into the weeds.
>>519329841my subaru, made in indiana, is far more american made than that cadillac
>>519337391I dunno.Absolutely, yes.
>>519338115I just finished putting a new radiator in my truck like 45 min ago. Girlfriend keeps nagging me to get a new one but why? I’m utter shit at fixing cars and even I can do just about any job by myself, in the fucking dark, for 1/10th of what a mechanic would charge because it’s so easy to work on. Why the fuck would I give that up?
>>519334559>it's the blondesshut up nigger
>>519338441yeah it's sad. my friends car wouldn't start and they didn't know what to do. i told them it's probably the battery since they just had their alternator replaced a few months ago. they had a little battery booster they were starting the car with. i told him to start the car, and take the negative terminal off the battery, if it dies then it's the alternator. they guy said he didn't know how and was too scared he would mess something up. this man is over 30 years old.
>>519330019No liquid in the radiator will blow up any engine.
>>519338589highly likely lol
>>519338758you're already miles ahead of most people like you yourself recognized. just keep doing.
>>519329841>>519329886Gm produced low quality high volume literal trash for decades they assumed alot of retards where "patriotic" in buying domestic even though the vehicles they made were done so with extremely cheap parts and ultraow cost leading these companies to make HUGE profits so much profit infact they would just make the same car slap a new brand on it and take out massive loans spend like crazy anyways its why a gmc chevy pontiac buick cadillac literally all these car exactly the same just different china plastics GM ripped my parents off for decades being immigrants they where stupid and didn't understand or speak English well. Every car my family bought over the years represents how GM functioned >sell you every useless package ans add on mark it up offer the highest percentage for the longest terms while the actual products where garbage with horrible warranties.I'm glad now the GM went bankrupt they made sure my parents/family stayed poor paying massive bills for DECADES.Fuck GM and all the cars over all the years NONE hardly any are on the road today unless you get a banging deal since nobody wants that over priced litteral shit. People started waking up to the dogshit they where fed ohh yeah support GM dont buy anything else meanwhile the billionaires and millionaires are laughing at how stupid people can be.
>>519338930she doesn't understand that maintenance parts are going to need to be replaced on a new car too. she doesn't understand how a car works. she just thinks new = better and somehow it will all just last long without ever needing anything.
>>519339410GM is the perfect example why I hate Tariffs and don't give a fuck about buying American products.
>>519335876I hope those 60's car dealers see this. If you suck hard enough you might be able to get a dusty drop of cum, you fucking kike faggot. Kill yourself.
>>519330575>"warrenty void if tampered with">on the fucking radiator caplmao. what other bullshit did your dad tell you
>>519332892>We have fleets of these vehicles at my work and I have never seen anybody blow a radiator and engine like that.Could've been a Friday build or a lemon. Shit happens. Can't tell for sure unless GM takes it apart. The auto industry right now is a revolving door of turnover so it leads to quality control issues since all your guys end up being new and fuck up basic things like clamping down coolant hoses.
>>519339486These corporations companies businesses only care about maximum profit and they feed the cattle any lie they can eat up. Here in canada since trumps tarrifs it's "buy local" support local what fucking benefit does that have for anyone since I hardly see any mom & pop shops its all franchises global conglomerates that do international business company this corporation that. The clown world just pisses me off so much. The consumer should buy what's the smart affordable best option for them. These scumbags dont give a fuck about us why should we care about them ?
>>519339235Being able to work through problems and troubleshoot without freaking out and getting overwhelmed is so incredibly underrated.
>>519339651it was right there, i saw it moron, and they ordered a new crate engine free. the dealer was supposed to remove the sealed cap and fill the radiator when the car was delivered to them but they didn't. granted this was over 30 years ago, so my recollection isn't exact on what it said but it was sealed with some kind of tape.
>>519339985god damn i just realized that was more like 55 year ago fuck. i'm conflating this with something else i think. but this did happen lol
>>519329841>bought a made in americaYou deserve it
>>519329841I love seeing the competency crisis play out. I worked my ass off to become an engineers yet come to find I'll never be able to get a job unless I make one with no money and red tape gatekeeping me at every step.
>>519330241Slate is a woman CEO company and it’s obvious
>>519329938Whatever it takes to be away fromniggers and pajeets
german and japanese cars motors are the best in the world

This is exactly what you deserve for not buying Japanese cars.
>>519341047Not really Japanese hate VW and pajeets

>>519330019>>Engine and radiator blew in a car washlol wut
>>519340412>>519339985right. so what happens when you need to refill the radiator. for the first time. was your warranty fucking voided?
>>519341789oh i didnt read your other post. there might of been a dealer tape or something. honestly theres not enough material to shitpost you with here.what are you fucking 70. 55 years ago? your not that asshole with the 50 year sobriety chip i saw on /g/ are you
>>519330241>shitbox 3000 with manual windows>EV, china is cranking the equivalent out for $4000-$5000>$20,000-$30,000
>>519338263>The US is truly one amazing place. I hope that everyone who lives there will realize this sooner than laterThanks Magnus. Those of us whose families built America knew that then and still know it now. It's hard having to wait for the guilty to prove themselves so before eliminating them, but that's the price of a republic vs a dictatorship.I hope you've always felt what I'm about to say, but you're welcome in America anytime. And stay as long as you want. You may have been born in Norway, but you're truly American in spirit.(My sincere condolences about the loss of your uncle's family.)
>>519329841>Why can't we build a nice car in the USBecause there aren't any car guys involved, and shot callers don't care what actual customers want.Proof? Mark Fields (former Ford CEO, MBA finance guy) on why Ford (and GM) is building a bunch of EVs no one wants:"They really didn’t have a good discussion on the consumer." That's MBA-speak for "we're just doing what the greenpressure groups and the regulators they control tell us."https://thelibertydaily.com/ford-ceo-admits-automakers-didnt-consider-their-customers/It really is that simple. The supposed "car" companies aren't even really car companies anymore. They're financecompanies. They're 100% on board with regulators that make cars unaffordable, because it means more peoplehave to finance more money for more years. The actual building of cars is an afterthought: just one of theobligations they have, but not terribly interesting, and not worthy of any great focus or respect: just as long as theydon't kill too many people per year and they can get the regulators to sign off. That's good enough.
>>519341947oh yeah, thats what it costs china to make, but with all those tariffs, the 25% on cars, the 100% on aluminum products, the 20% on general products (goes ontop of the cars) and the new 100% reciprical taxes trumps got coming on nov 1...ooof, yeah, see, in order for it to be profitable for china, they gotta pass the cost onto the importer, whose just gonna eat the cost and lose money on every sal-lmao just kidding, americans are gonna pay that, its a tax. fuckin kek. so much for for those 4-5 grand cars you COULD of had. good luck!

>>519329986>Who cares about impressing strangerspretty much everyone. including everyone in your government. what do you think life is about to most people.
>>519342182>The supposed "car" companies aren't even really car companies anymore. They're finance companiesThat's why during the financial meltdown KN "kept GM in business!" with a $60B bailout - when the market price of simply buying GM was just $2B.KN wasn't saving the US auto industry and American jobs. KN was bailing out *the banks owned by those car companies* : GMAC, Chrysler Financial, etc. As banks they were part of Wall St's web of CDS gambling, so if any of the automakers' financing subsidiaries went tits up it would have crashed the system just as hard as any other bank.So you're right, cars are no longer an integral part of America and something in which automakers take pride. They're now just another way for jews to enslave people with more debt.
>>519329938Most things that normies do is based on gay social demands. That’s why they chimp out and get violent when they see you living an incorrect lifestyle.
>>519329841production moved overseas, we hardly manufacture any of the major or minor parts needed for assemblyall we do is import mexicans to work in our auto plants to assemble them, and when that's too expensive the rest are assembled in mexico or canadatrump really needs to jumpstart some automated drone manufactorums to start production of all we need to be independent
>>519341995Thank you sir.I am glad to hear that. It truly is one place like no other. I have always felt very welcome to The US and I still do. After all, at the end of the day, the people make the country. The scenery is amazing, but what truly make it amazing is the people. Nothing will ever beat that no matter where else in the world one might go. Thank you for the condolences. I also wish everything good for you and your family and I hope that the future for you and for all over there will become better and better. I wish nothing else. God prosper you and wishes success and safety.
Don't care much about cars but I bought a warranty offered by the dealership with my last purchase (2020 Jeep Compass Limited) and it has payed for itself 5x at least in the four years I've had the car. I know people say Jeeps are unreliable but it has mostly been suspension shit because the roads here are absolute shit with rough winters. Not buying a warranty is dumb. It added like $25 to my payment which is under $400
>>519329841Transporter and Tony Stark there are about 8 people that know I own a Lamborghini it stays in my garage and I only drive it out of town my 09 bmw is faster than my Lamborghini more torque and horse power in the sleeper n54 FBO Stage 2+ MHD/xHP tune. I’ll never buy an American car
Everything made after 2020 is a pile of shit. The wuhan flu lockdowns fucked a lot of stuff up, probably for a generation.
>>519343698This is actually the first photo I’ve ever posted online of it took it to give it a bath
Can we agree that all modern cars are soulless tin cans with wheels?
>>519343762Yes we can agree after 2016 car quality died
>>519332571I forgot they still sell this new.
>>519330241Make it a hybrid or gasoline powered and I'd care. Not paying that much for an electric piece of shit.
