When they were full of whites, they were amazing. Cali went from 75% white to minority white in the lifetime of people I know. Los Angeles was called the Iowa of the West because it was populated by Midwestern transplants, and before that it was nothing more than a small oil town. You can find photos of areas that are now covered in concrete and surrounded by urban sprawl for 25 miles in any direction that looked like farmland. It’s shit, and you know it’s shit.
