In a situation where several U.N. experts have determined that the United States is violating international law with military attacks on civilian boats off the coast of Venezuela and the US Democrats are warning that Trump is about to start an illegal war against Venezuela, it is a bad idea to give a peace prize to a Venezuelan politician who supports Trump on this. There is no need to defend the lack of democracy in Venezuela or the authoritarian rule, but Trump's incitement to war solves nothing.
